The build I'm presenting today is incredibly powerful, possibly the fastest one for Diablo 4 Season 3 - Arc Lash Sorcerer. A significant advantage is that you can still use this build effectively even without any Ubers. It's absolutely unstoppable! However, if you like this build, you’d better have plenty of Diablo 4 Gold to make it.
Flickerstep coupled with attacks, reduces evade cooldowns significantly. Each attack not only reduces the evade cooldown but also diminishes the ultimate ability whenever an enemy is hit. However, the rapid kill speed might create a limitation as you may not consistently hit enemies.
Instead of relying solely on special abilities, consider utilizing the space bar, which has a 6-second cooldown. Each attack with the space bar reduces the cooldown, allowing for a sequence of 2 attacks followed by 2 more and then a Flame Shield, effectively resetting the sequence. Typically, 3 attacks suffice for a reset, but employing Unstable Current triggers an immediate reset upon activation, amplifying the build's potency.
The synergy between the Dash, which autonomously reduces cooldowns, and Unstable Current, which randomly activates skills, significantly enhances the build's potency. Once Unstable Currents are active, the abundance of attack speed facilitates faster resets, making every Arc Lash attack serve as a reset. Even without actively using other skills, the cooldown reduction is noticeable, with Ice Armor and Flame Shield activating seamlessly without interrupting movement. Activating Ice Blades ensures the Tal Rasha, although it interrupts movement, preventing simultaneous casting with Arc Lash.
Here's an overview of the Diablo 4 Items you'll be using. First, we utilize the Harlequin Crest. Then we have the Raiment of the Infinite, offering enhanced AOE and a potent skill. Tibault's Will grants us temporary invincibility and mana, although mana isn't crucial for this build but is essential for the ball lightning build. Flickerstep is another key component, followed by Rapid Aspect for basic attack skill. Attack speed is prioritized once again, while cooldown reduction holds significant importance.
The Aspect of Adaptability serves as an additional aspect, providing a resource boost and multiplying our capabilities. Tal Rasha's Iridescent Loop is utilized for its multiplier and cooldown reduction benefits, which could be further enhanced with additional cooldown reduction. As for the amulet, the focus is on the ball lightning build, hence mana cost reduction isn't necessary. Mastery passive or DPS-focused abilities are preferable.
Now, let's discuss the construct stones. Opt for Tempest with Efficiency and Breaking Support and Evernight. If Evernight isn't available, you can consider Safeguard instead. Flesh of Adrenaline with tactical duration and Genesis for 1.5 second is consistently powerful and is a staple in almost every build in Season 3.
We have a lot of skills and like Lightning spells because our Unstable Currents proc them and they do a lot of damage actually like just all the accumulated procs. And we also have Fireball max, which we use the enchantment off together with teleport enchants for even more DPS. You might want to take some points off because it’s doing too much damage and the monsters are dying too fast. So you can’t really reset your Flickersteps that easily.
Max teleport, extra cooldown, which is really good and then max Glass Cannon. We don’t need this one anymore because we’re not spending mana. Lightning Spear, and enough Flames for more Fireball damage. You can also get rid of this and take, like movement speed or damage reduction. Then we have Unstable Currents, Esu's Ferocity, this is for the attack speed. It also works for your Lightning skills and ball lightning, more procs and good DPS. And Shocking Impact whenever we stand an enemy, which our lightning spear and our teleport do, we are doing another 45 base damage.
Wwe prioritize destruction and utilize Ceaseless Conduit with Control. Then, the Frigid Fate is maximized. Moving up, we incorporate Enchantment Master to enhance our cooldown on teleports by 20%, a crucial aspect. Charged glyph aids in generating crackling energy through our Unstable Currents.
Additionally, Enchanter boosts our multiplier for Frigid Fate, resulting in higher DPS. The setup is quite comfortable, achieving the desired 1.3 multiplier. This setup includes the Pargon board and incorporates Searing Heat for added fire damage, coupled with Exploit for another 1.3 multiplier. We leverage our pet to proc vulnerability, making it one of the fastest and most enjoyable builds currently available.
Hi fellow players! Here is another Diablo 4 guide. As our journey into Season 4 begins, today we're going to focus on the bosses as there are some big changes happening. We now have access to a greater and more consistent supply of new items and materials. There's a lot to cover and a lot of important information to share, so let's get right into it!
Diablo 4 Season 4 introduces a new boss, Uber Duriel, who brings new drops, including Uber Uniques, at a higher drop rate. Additionally, there are new Tormented versions of bosses, which are essentially Level 200 bosses with even better drops.
Then, you'll also receive 1 Resplendent Spark the first time you kill any of these Level 200 bosses. Another Spark is obtained by completing the new quest line in Season 4, and a third one is supposed to come from Uber Lilith.
However, the third spark has either been removed or it's bugged. Regardless, we should be able to get 3 Resplendent Sparks by playing the game and completing challenges, with the hope of securing that last Spark when we encounter an Uber boss if needed.
The new Tormented versions are also summoned in the same way. However, there's now a new tab to swap between the normal version and the Tormented version. The Tormented versions require significantly more materials and an additional new material. Despite the higher cost, they are worth it because of the greater rewards.
In any case, you can obtain summoning materials from more sources now. They can drop in the new Helltide Reborn as random or relatively consistent bonuses. Since we've been leveling hard in the new Helltide, you’ll likely find you’ve got more than usual, with some ready to go.
Let’s run down these Uber bosses, their new loot pools, where to summon them, and what you actually need to summon them with.
First up, we have Andariel, the new boss, located in the Hanged Man's Hall, adjacent to the Waypoint or Zarbinzet town. Andariel is comparable in worth to Duriel and requires World Tier 4 to fight. Her Echo is Level 100, and her drops mirror those of Duriel, making her equally valuable for Uber Unique farming.
The Andariel requires 2 new summoning materials: Sandscorched Shackles dropped by the Lord Zir, and Pincushioned Dolls dropped by the Beast in the Ice. The Tormented versions of Duriel and Andariel offer higher Uber Unique drop chances compared to their normal Echo versions, making it highly advantageous to summon them.
While Andariel is relatively easy to defeat in her normal state, the Tormented version poses a greater challenge, utilizing Fire, Lightning, Poison, and Shadow damage. She spawns additional enemies and employs various tactics, such as laser beams and missile attacks.
Moving on, let's quickly discuss the materials needed to summon the next boss , Grigoire, which is located on the west side of the maps, just below Ked Bardu. You'll find him in the Hall of the Penitent in World Tier 4.
To summon him, you'll require 5 Living Steel, obtainable from random drops in the Helltide, primarily from the Steel Chest opened for 235 cinders. With greater numbers now dropping overall, acquiring Living Steel is easier than before. Grigoire is a Lightning type, so exercise caution. It's worth noting that Grigoire drops the shards necessary for the Duriel summons.
Now, let's shift our focus to Duriel. Like Andariel, Duriel offers the same drops and requires World Tier 4 at Level 100. He stands as your prime destination for acquiring Uber Uniques outside of Andariel. To locate Duriel, head to the southwest point of the map near Gea Kul, where you'll find him in the Gaping Crevasse.
For 1 Duriel summon, you'll need 2 Shards of Agony from Grigoire and 2 Mucus-Slick Egg from Vashan, as usual. Duriel remains unchanged, so prioritize maximum poison resistance and beware of Burrows on the ground. While Andariel will be a frequent target in Season 4, aim to face her in the Tormented version.
Moving on, let's discuss Vashan, located at the Tree of Whispers. Summoning Vashan is a bit more complicated. You'll need one of each body part: the Gurgling Head, Malignant Heart, Blackened Femur and Trembling Hand. If you're missing any parts, you can visit any Alchemist to trade or convert hearts directly into the needed parts.
Alternatively, you can find these parts from the Grotesque Debtors around the world, after defeating World Bosses, or by handling Whispers. Vashan is a Shadow-based enemy, and here is his loot pool again. Additionally, unique Malignant Ring powers are also dropped here. Vashan also drops the Mucus-Slick Eggs needed for the Duriel summons.
Now, let's discuss Lord Zir, who can be found in the Darkened Way, just southeast of Kyovashad. To summon Lord Zir, you'll need 9 Exquisite Blood as usual, which you can obtain from killing World Bosses and completing Legion events.
Additionally, they now drop from Blood Maidens in Helltide Reborn, and you may also find them randomly in Helltide events. Lord Zir is a shadow-based enemy, so make sure to bring resistance against shadow attacks. Notably, Lord Zir now drops the shackles required to summon Andariel as well.
Lastly, let's discuss the Beast in the Ice. To summon this boss, you'll need to visit an Occultist. Unlike other bosses where you go to a specific location, summoning this Unique boss involves crafting sigils. Under the Ancestral tab, you'll find 2 types: the normal version and the Tormented version. Both require Distilled Fear and Sigil Powder. Crafting the sigil, activating it, and venturing into the dungeon to confront the boss is the process.
Distilled Fear is now quite common, obtained from completing Nightmare Dungeons from Level 90+ dungeons, where you'll receive 3. The higher the tier of the dungeon, the greater the chance of obtaining them. Additionally, they can be acquired from World Bosses and even in the Helltide. However, be prepared as the Beast in the Ice is a cold element enemy.
Finally, let's discuss the Pinnacle boss - Uber Lilith. It's worth noting that she should be tackled when you're fully prepared because on your initial encounter, she'll drop a Resplendent Spark, adding a valuable item to your inventory.
In conclusion, prioritize hunting the echo versions of bosses to obtain unique items and relevant gear. Ensure that you defeat each Tormented version at least once to craft your first Uber Unique. Additionally, once you've strengthened your character sufficiently, focus on farming the Tormented versions over regular echoes as they offer better drop rates, particularly for Andariel and Duriel.
The much-anticipated Diablo 4 Season 4 is finally here! Unlike before, Season 4 has no obvious season theme and is only titled Loot Reborn. Obviously, the main focus of this season should be the loot system.
However, with the endgame difficulty ramping up significantly this season, preparing a great endgame build is a smart choice if you want to be rewarded with exciting Diablo 4 items. In this guide, we are going to talk about the 5 best starting builds from different classes in Season 4 to help you get a better start in the game.
We’ll list the best builds for Season 4, starting with Sorcerer build. Based on what we saw on PTR, this class feels great in Loot Reborn for a few reasons.
First, in Season 4, there are a lot of variations on Sorcerer’s best builds, making it one of the most versatile classes at least at the start of the season. Among the many Sorcerer builds, the performance of Frozen Orb Sorcerer deserves our most attention.
Frozen Orb Sorcerer is a nod to old-school Diablo fans, as Frozen Orb spell was well-known as far back as Diablo 2, and it’s taken on an extra edge in Diablo 4 Loot Reborn.
The advantage of this build is the essentially infinite spamming of Frozen Orb spell, which is very effective in clearing out large numbers of mobs, Nightmare Dungeons, Helltide Events, and other events in Diablo 4.
In addition to this, the new unique amulet, Fractured Winterglass is added, and Frozen Orb spell gains a Conjuration charge, which in turn has a high chance of creating another Frozen Orb, creating a permanent mechanic.
The disadvantages of this build are also obvious. Not only is it highly reliant on mana reserves, but it’s not the most effective at single target damage. But the advantages still cannot be concealed.
Speaking of the most effective Druid build in Diablo 4 Season 4, then it has to be Hurricane Druid. This build tears apart Pits and Bosses, but relies heavily on Tempering.
The essence of this build is stacking critical damage from Clarity and overpowers through Provocation. Once both passive abilities are maxed out, you can use your primary killing tool, Hurricane ability, to deal millions of damage.
Despite the massive damage dealt, Hurricane Druid build still requires a fairly strict sequence of actions. You can still cast Hurricane left and right, but without the extra critical damage from Clarity ability and the overpower damage from Provocation, you won’t hit max damage.
When it comes to the best builds of Barbarian, I can only say one thing, and that’s Bash.
Bash Barbarian in Diablo 4 Season 4 looks like the build you want to play. The late game Bash ability allows you to deal significant area damage and stun enemies.
Combine this with Aspect of Adaptability and Aspect of the Moonrise to get more damage from the basic skills and destroy anything alive with Vampiric Bloodrage.
However, the major drawback of this build also emerges here. Aspect of Adaptability and Aspect of the Moonrise cannot be obtained during the upgrade phase, so this build, unlike Frozen Orb Sorcerer, cannot be used throughout the game.
Regarding Necromancer, I don’t even need to mention it. Almost every player knows what the best build of this class is, and that’s Minions Necromancer. It will transform into a summoner, leading hordes of undead to sweep through everything in its path. But this may not be a bad thing for Season 4.
Overall, Minions Necromancer is definitely the simplest build that exists in Loot Reborn. It’s not like Druid needs to follow a rotation, or Barbarian only expands late in the game. Its essence is to simply spam Army of the Dead to everything around it.
As a Minions Necromancer, all you need to do is collect Blood Orbs, which appear after using your Corpse Tendrils ability. These charge up your ultimate ability, Army of the Dead, which resurrects your minions and destroys everything around you as you collect Blood Orbs. That’s the essence of Necromancer.
Finally arriving at the last of our list of the best endgame builds for Diablo 4 Season 4. If you’ve always wanted to try a ranged Rogue, now is the perfect time for you to start it, as this build allows you to effectively take out hordes of enemies from a distance, and that’s Rapid Fire Rogue.
The core of this build is Rapid Fire ability, which allows you to use a bow as your primary weapon.
It is worth noting that in Season 4, a new Rogue Unique Ring, Scoundrel’s Kiss, appeared. It has Rapid Fire effect built in, turning this skill into a true grenade launcher, dealing massive damage to all enemies within a large radius.
This build is great for leveling, boss fights, and clearing Pit of Artificers. However, as is often the case with this class, Rapid Fire Rogue is extremely fragile. So in this build, you’re sacrificing potentially higher DPS for survivability and upgrading abilities like Smoke Grenade.

The exciting Diablo 4 Season 4 Loot Reborn is finally here! In the new season, a new Uber Boss joins the endgame, and this is Andariel. She is similar to her brother boss Duriel: she is level 100, only available in Torment World Tier, and has the exact same loot table.
If you’re tired of farming Duriel repeatedly, then you can try summoning Andariel and get new Uber Uniques. But summoning Andariel requires different Diablo 4 items, thus meaning you have to fight a different boss. So, below we will talk about how to get the required materials and summon Andariel in Season 4.
In order to summon Andariel, we need to raise two endgame bosses to obtain Pincushioned Doll from Beast of Ice and Sandscorched Shackles from Lord Zir.
Beast of Ice can be farmed primarily by completing Nightmare Dungeons. You can obtain Distilled Fear by completing Nightmare Dungeons at tier 30 and above in Torment World Tier. Since the material drops randomly upon completion, you may not always get it. The good news, though, is that playing higher-level Nightmare Dungeons has a chance to reward you with additional Distilled Fear.
Once you get 9 of them, go to Occultist to craft Nightmare Sigils: Glacial Fissure. Glacial Fissure works just like Nightmare Dungeon. You activate it like Nightmare Dungeon and select it on the map to instantly teleport there.
Unlike other endgame bosses, you need to go through a fairly long dungeon to reach the boss area. Also, different from other endgame bosses, there will be no summoning altar here. The battle with Beast of Ice will begin as soon as you enter the boss arena. Defeating Beast of Ice will drop Pincushioned Doll, one of the two items required to summon Andariel.
Another summoning item comes from defeating Lord Zir. To summon Lord Zir, you need 9 Exquisite Blood. Exquisite Blood can be obtained by completing World Bosses or Legion Events. World Bosses grant 3 Exquisite Blood every 3 hours and 30 minutes, and Legion Events grant 1 Exquisite Blood every 25 minutes.
In addition, in Season 4, you can also get a large amount of Exquisite Blood through Helltides, completing events, and random drops from general elites.
Like Duriel, Lord Zir Boss is only available in World Tier 4. Fortunately, World Bosses now appear every three hours instead of six, so they’re easier to farm.
Once you have enough Exquisite Blood, head to Darkened Way. After that you will see another door in Ancient’s Seat. Deposit your Exquisite Blood on the summoning altar to generate Lord Zir. Defeating Lord Zir will drop Sandscorched Shackles, the second item required to summon Andariel.
Now we are ready to summon Andariel. We need to take all the summoning materials we obtained to the level 100 dungeon Hanged Man’s Hall and summon Andariel. You can find the entrance to this dungeon east of Tarsarak, the major city in the Kehjistan region.
Like all other boss dungeons in the game, the lobby will have a unique icon. As you scroll through the area, look for skulls with horns on the gate. If you’ve never completed the dungeon, they’re hard to miss and have an orange dot.
Once you enter Hanged Man’s Hall, you must reach the altar. To start the battle, place summon items from Lord Zir and Beast of Ice into Altar of Anguish. Andariel consumes 2 Pincushioned Dolls and Sandscorched Shackles each time it is run.
Keep in mind that Andariel’s summoning materials will only be used once, so your best bet is to run a boss grind squad to save time. Otherwise, you have to keep grinding away previous bosses on the boss ladder to get more materials.
The combat was really simple during PTR, so I didn’t see much of Andariel boss fight. Although Uber Andariel is a tough boss, with the right strategy, you can defeat Andariel. So use your abilities, predict her moves, and keep moving, and you’ll easily have the upper hand and enjoy those sweet loot drops! Regardless, you can definitely defeat her in the Hanged Man’s Hall.
You can also collect Stygian Stones from Pit of the Artificers if you want a higher difficulty challenge. These can be combined with standard Andariel summoning items to obtain her level 200 Tormented Echo variant.
Higher levels mean more rewards for each victory. More importantly, for Duriel and his sister, it means a better chance of getting Uber Unique items. Once you’ve conquered this season’s Pit of the Artificers, the uber grind will probably take up the rest of your endgame grinding time.

From the recent update notes of Diablo 4 patch 1.4.0, we learned about a lot of new content that will be added to Season 4 Loot Reborn, from itemization rework, to updates about the endgame system to changes in class balance.
Beyond that, there’s the usual new addition regarding the new list of unique items that will have the biggest impact on your builds in the new season. Not only will these new Diablo 4 items increase the number of options players have for their characters, but some of them are powerful enough to create entire builds.
In this guide, we’ll take a look at all of the new unique items coming to Diablo 4 Season 4, and where players can try to target farm them, if possible. Without further ado, let’s get started.
Diablo 4’s next major update will bring more unique items than usual, with 12 new items being added to the game. Each class will receive two exclusive unique items, and there will also be two universal items.
In addition, 8 new Legendary Aspects will also debut. Again, two of them will be universal and applicable to all classes. While some of these Aspects fit into current build archetypes, others have other interesting effects that can create some new possibilities.
Unfortunately, only one of these new unique items in Loot Reborn is listed as Uber Unique, and that’s Tyrael’s Might. It is a powerful item that when your health is full, it can release the special effect of the divine barrage and cause a lot of damage.
My guess at this point is that players may need to wait for this item on the loot table, or which bosses may drop Tyrael’s Might. Because Season 3 made it clear to us that some bosses are often the best choice for farming special items.
Of course, all new Diablo 4 Loot Reborn unique items have the chance to become incredibly powerful. They might completely change the way you play, or just make your current build more powerful.
Here is the full list of unique items that will be added to Diablo 4 at the start of Season 4:
Tyrael’s Might Unique Chest Armor: When full health, your skills will release a divine barrage, causing damage.
Yen’s Blessing Unique Boots: When it casts a skill, it has a 40-60% chance of casting a Non-Mobility, Non-Ultimate Skill that is currently on cooldown. Note that this effect can only occur once every 8 seconds.
Aspect of Frosty Strides: When below 45-60% health, Evade Freezes nearby enemies, causing cold damage and applying Vulnerability to them for 3 seconds.
Aspect of Concussive Strikes: On a Lucky Hit, damage dealt to an enemy has a 20% chance of causing them to Daze for 2 seconds. The damage you deal to Dazed enemies is increased by 5%-20%.
Arreat’s Bearing Unique Pants: Ancients you summon are empowered. Korlic creates an Earthquake when he jumps, dealing physical damage over 4 seconds. Talic leaves Dust Devil behind and deals damage as he Whirlwinds. When Mawdac upheaves the ground, he ignites the ground burning enemies, dealing additional damage over 4 seconds.
Twin Strikes Unique Gloves: After casting Double Swing 4 times, your next Double Swing will hit 2 additional times, dealing 10-25% more damage each time.
Aspect of Fierce Winds: Your Shout Skills will create 3 Dust Devils, dealing damage to enemies in their path. At the same time, your Dust Devils will grow 5%-20% larger, and deal 1% more damage for every 1% increase in size.
Earthbreaker Unique Ring: Landslide will cause the ground to erupt in tectonic spikes, causing 0.6-0.9 points of damage over 2 seconds. What’s more, casting Landslide in this area has a 20-30% chance of causing additional Landslide pillars to spawn within it.
Wildheart Hunger Unique Boots: When you shapeshift into a Werewolf or a Werebear, you gain Wildheart, which lasts for 5 seconds. Wildheart increases the damage of your Shapeshifting Skills by 1%-1.5% every 2 seconds, stacking 20 times.
Aspect of Fevered Mauling: When you hit at least 1 enemy with Maul, its attack speed is increased by 1%-2.5% and you gain 1%-3% damage reduction for 5 seconds, stacking up to 5 times.
Ebonpiercer Unique Amulet: It causes Blight to fire 4 smaller projectiles that pierce enemies and cause Shadow damage over 3 seconds.
Cruor’s Embrace Unique Gloves: When equipped, Blood Surge consumes corpses to create Mini Novas, dealing massive damage. The damage is increased by 10% for each target consumed by the initial cast, up to a maximum of 50%, and the damage it deals is also increased by 20% for each corpse consumed.
Aphotic Aspect: Causes your Skeletal Warriors’ attacks to deal Shadow damage and have a 5%-20% chance to stun enemies for 1.5 seconds.
Scoundrel’s Kiss Unique Ring: Rapid Fire now fires exploding arrows, dealing 15%-25% increased damage.
Saboteur’s Signet Unique Ring: Casting Flurry skill has a 15-30% chance of triggering Stun Grenades, causing physical damage to the enemy and stunning the enemy for 1 second. Your Grenade Skills have a 5% Lucky Hit Chance.
High Velocity Aspect: Barrage Arrows can now penetrate 1 enemy, and Barrage attack speed is increased by 10%-20%.
Fractured Winterglass Unique Amulet: Casting a Frozen Orb has a 35-50% chance of causing random Conjuration when it explodes. If Lucky Hits, your Conjuration has a whopping 50-70% chance of launching a Frozen Orb at nearby enemies.
Flameweaver Unique Gloves: Casting a Fire Bolt through a Firewall will cause it to split into 4 bolts, increasing the damage of each bolt by 80-100%.
Aspect of Tenuous Destruction: When you have no defensive skills on your Action Bar, damage dealt is increased by 25-40%.
Flamethrower’s Aspect: It divides Incinerate skill into 3 beams, each dealing 70-85% of normal damage.
Anyway, these are all the new Unique items and Legendary Aspects that will be added to Diablo 4 Season 4. New items will bring new build possibilities to players in the new season, and understanding these will help you be one step ahead when new expansions drop!
In this guide, we’ll take a deep dive into the exciting changes coming to Helltide in Diablo 4 Season 4, which starts around May 14th. From dynamic gameplay events to improved drop mechanics, Helltide is becoming a game changer.
We’ve seen a few changes to Helltide in the past, but nothing quite like these, and here’s a quick overview of what’s coming soon.
Multiple new events make Helltide gameplay feel more dynamic, opening up helltide-specific drops to other areas and bringing outside drops into Helltide. All in all, Helltide is probably the best leveling place in Season 4. Let’s get right to the point.
Helltide in Diablo 4 is a game feature unlocked after completing the story. You can tell Helltide is happening by the red appearance on the map. They will go up for 55 minutes, go down for 5 minutes, and then appear again in a new area.
When you enter Helltide, you’ll see new elements in the heads up display in the upper right corner, including your Aberrant Cinders, Baneful Heart, and the bar that determines your level of threat in Helltide.
All enemies in Helltide have a chance to drop Aberrant Cinders, which can be used to open special chests called Tortured Gifts. Tortured Gifts are located in fixed and random locations around Helltide. Their icons on the map determine the types of items you can get when you open them, and they cost between 50 and 275 Aberrant Cinders to open.
There are 2 unique chest types, and Gift of Mysteries chests provide a wide variety of crafting materials and Diablo 4 items. If you want to farm the endgame boss Grigoire, you need to target Tortured Gift of Living Steel. This boss has its own target farming loot table and is one of four bosses that can now be farmed for Uber Uniques.
Keep in mind that when you’re defeated in Helltide, you lose half of your Aberrant Cinders, making targeting expensive Tortured Gifts very dangerous.
Sometimes you’ll encounter Doomsayer Pira, and interacting with Pira will cause random things to happen, such as spawning enemies, spawning Goblin, and even spawning new, cheaper Tortured Gifts.
As you play Helltide, defeating enemies and opening Tortured Gifts will increase your Threat Meter. The higher the meter, the more ambushes you’ll encounter as you continue through Helltide. Your Threat Meter can be found in the upper right corner.
Maximizing the meter will start a new Helltide event where you will be constantly ambushed. The meter decreases as you approach the final ambush. The final ambush will include a new elite enemy called Hellborn, which will be harder to defeat than typical elite enemies.
Collecting Baneful Hearts mainly occurs when opening any Tortured Gifts in Helltide. You will see how many Baneful Hearts you have in the upper right corner. These can be spent at Accursed Ritual locations in Helltide, and finding these locations requires you to be within a certain distance of the event before you can see it on the map.
When you arrive at the event location, you’ll see 3 Accursed Altars, each of which requires a Baneful Heart to activate. It is worth mentioning that activating Accursed Altar can be done by different players.
This event is very similar to Blood Lure Pedestals during Season 2 Blood Harvest. Once activated, the area will spawn waves of enemies, all of which help to free the boss in the center.
Eventually, Blood Maiden will appear. This enemy is powerful, can deal high damage, and has a large health pool similar to World Boss. During each phase of Blood Maiden, they will fire telegraph projectiles in random directions, which will also spawn 4 Hellborn enemies.
Throughout the battle, be careful when you become the target of a circle that stalks you. The best way to deal with this is to run in a circle, out of the path of nearby allies. Defeating Blood Maiden will drop loot, and will also drop Exquisite Blood, which is used to generate the endgame boss, Lord Zir.
Coming to Season 4 Helltide, you’ll also notice new Whisper Objectives exclusive to Helltide. This means that when you play Helltide, you also gain Grim Favors.
These Objectives are simple, like killing some demons, destroying Accursed Ritual, or defeating Hellborn. Most of these are easy to complete by playing Helltide and will be a great way to farm Varshan Body Parts for summoning the endgame boss Varshan.
Additionally, Forgotten Souls, Fiend Roses, and Grigoire summoning items are no longer locked behind Helltide. They are available outside of Helltide at a lower and possibly more unstable rate. Therefore, Helltide will probably remain the primary method for target farming these items.
To collect Forgotten Souls, you need to look for Screaming Hell Veins, which are rarely found in Helltide region. To collect Fiend Roses, be aware of Fiend Rose interactables. Don’t forget to collect 5 pieces of Living Steel immediately and open Living Steel Chest to get 275 Aberrant Cinders.
It’s worth mentioning that in Helltide, goblins and elite enemies appear to drop any endgame boss summoning items.
By the way, in Season 4 Helltide, we will also find some returning structures from past seasons.
You’ll find Sanguine Altars mini-event in Season 2, where you have to defeat endless waves of enemies while having less and less health over time. You’ll also find Trap Altar from Season 3, which is the same idea, but the altar itself emits a dodgeable telegraphed attack.
All of these new additions will be coming to Helltide, which has been available since World Tier 1, so this will probably be the best leveling location in Season 4.
Helltide itself has a hit or miss mob density. Threat Meter will help fill the monster density with ambush. Finding many people participating in Accursed Ritual will result in a huge XP boost, similar to Cursed Chests in Nightmare Dungeons. This will be the basis for Whisper Objectives you complete during Helltide to earn another boost in XP.
Best of all, opening Tortured Gifts will grant you more XP. The main thing you miss when leveling up from level 1 to 100 in Helltide is Glyph XP, so that’s the major drawback.
The above are all the changes in Helltide in Season 4 that we know so far, but we still have to look forward to the official launch in half a month for the specific content. Good luck and have fun.
In this guide, I’ll be showcasing another unique build we tested in Season 4 PTR, which is the powerful Frozen Orb Sorcerer with Fractured Winterglass unique Amulet at its core. This is an incredible endgame build that combines Frozen Orb with a spell, creating an effect that can easily reach high levels and permanently freeze enemies.
It’s no problem with Pit of Artificers endgame newly introduced in Season 4. Personally, Pit Tier 159 was the highest we could open with this build at the time. So, at least with the scaling we have on PTR, getting all the way to Pit Tier 200 is pretty easy. So it’s safe to say this is one of the best builds out there, especially for a Sorcerer.
How it works is that Fractured Winterglass gives it a chance to spawn any random Conjuration whenever you cast Frozen Orb. So Ice Blades, Lightning Spear or Hydra and those Conjurations will spawn and throw their own Frozen Orbs. These Orbs can move back and forth and explode around like you know.
Basically, you’ll see about 20 Frozen Orbs exploding all the time. What’s more, if you have Aspect of Frozen Orbit, it can also cause Frozen Orbs to explode three times.
What this means is that you actually have a lot of Lucky Hit triggers, you have a lot of opportunities to trigger those Conjurations summon spawns, and you have Lightning Spears flying around all the time to deal a lot of damage.
Additionally, Frozen Orb synergize well with Conjuration Mastery Passive, providing additional damage and mana regeneration. So the more Conjurations you have, the more these scales up, the more you can spam everything. So it all synergize with each other in a really crazy way, making this build powerful.
You might feel that with the build going roughly the way I’ve shown it, it might be a little weak. Since our goal in Season 4 is to get into Pit Tier 200, the bar is a little higher, but the unique Fractured Winterglass will definitely help you get there.
This is one of the new Diablo 4 items dropped by Lord Zir in World Tier 4. It gives you a 35-50% chance of generating random Conjuration when casting Frozen Orb Explosion. If Lucky Hits, your Conjurations have a whopping 70-100% chance of launching Frozen Orbs at nearby enemies. Before getting Fractured Winterglass, Frozen Orb Sorcerer dealt mediocre damage and struggled to maintain mana.
While this build will still work on the starting Sorcerer, we strongly recommend switching to Chain Lightning Sorcerer build before you get Fractured Winterglass. Because Frozen Orbs deplete resources quickly, starting at a whopping 40 mana, and requiring specific equipment to maintain mana to continuously cast Frozen Orbs.
They’ve buffed Frozen Orbs quite a bit since I played it in Season 1. As I mentioned, this is pretty good, especially for leveling. When you're not looking for truly high-end content, and you don't have to fight millions of monsters like a boss, Frozen Orb Sorcerer is always the best choice.
But like I mentioned before, Aspect of Frozen Orbit has great synergy with Frozen Orbs, so you have to find it at least once. This will change your settings for more Conjurations.
And in Season 4, you can now choose where to detonate Frozen Orbs. When you play the game using your mouse and keyboard, it moves to your cursor. I think when you play with the controller, it just goes to your target or, like, a random set distance.
So it’s not like there was always a fixed long range where you had to constantly reposition yourself to really cast accurately. If you want, you can even stand on top of your enemies and throw Frozen Orbs into their faces. This also makes using it easier and better. Because you are guaranteed to always explode on the target, and the radius is very large.
But I have to say, I think this build will last a long time against all of these bosses. Therefore, boss battles are definitely a weakness of Frozen Orbs. But don’t worry, you can increase boss damage by optimizing settings. Once you are fully equipped, you can enter Pit Tier 200 and even clear speed will be fast.
We can also take a quick look at Paragon Board. We have six boards, six glyphs, and one or two very influential legendary nodes.
First, Icefall causes you to deal extra damage to vulnerable enemies. Additionally, we have Frigid Fate here, which also deals extra damage to vulnerable targets based on your cold damage. This number may seem a bit low, but you can actually Temper the cold damage, or non-physical damage, to maximize the effect of this Frigid Fate board.
There are also Paragon nodes that are basically just for stacking a lot of defenses. So we have a lot of life and similar damage reduction here, such as Damage Reduction from Vulnerable, Damage Reduction from Burning, Damage Reduction from Chilled. Because we need to be as tanky as possible to ensure we can survive the high-end content in Pit and those Uber bosses.
The rest is just like you know, grab some really important stuff like damage modifiers like Winter Glyph, and Destruction Glyph which can crit scale. Additionally, there’s a Conjurer Glyph here that increases their duration, so you have a really nice damage bonus.
All in all, this Frozen Orb build is a powerful and fun build for Sorcerer in Diablo 4 Season 4. But anyway, we still need to wait for the final patch notes. Let’s wait and see!
