What Will It Be Like If Darkening Of Tristram Be Added In Diablo 4 Season 7?

Jan 07 ,2025 Author: D4gold

Although Diablo 4, as the latest in Diablo series, has attracted more attention from players than Diablo 1-3, this does not mean that the first three games have lost their merits - in fact, they have a community of players who are always enthusiastic about them.

In Diablo 3, there is a special event called Darkening of Tristram. It is also called Anniversary Dungeon. It is a limited-time event in Diablo 3. It has been held regularly every January since 2017, allowing you to revisit the original 16 levels in Diablo 1.

At present, although Diablo 3 is still running and very active, since Diablo 4 has temporarily established its core position in Diablo series, it is difficult to say whether Diablo 3 will stop launching new seasonal content in 2025 and beyond.

Therefore, as a popular event in Diablo 3, perhaps it is time for Darkening of Tristram to change its position and appear in Diablo 4. This will not only avoid the possibility of not being able to continue to experience the event after Diablo 3 stops updating, but also add new ways for you to farm Diablo 4 Gold.

Based on this, we will reasonably speculate what benefits Darkening of Tristram will bring after combining with Diablo 4.What Will It Be Like If Darkening Of Tristram Be Added In Diablo 4 Season 7?

Introduction To Darkening Of Tristram

This event recreates most of the events, monsters and levels of the original game in Diablo 3. Among them, bosses include Butcher, Skeleton King, Arch-Bishop Lazarus and The Dark Lord (Diablo). In addition, the monsters in Anniversary Dungeon are basically the same as those in D1, with only slight adjustments. Some of them still have the old abilities, while some do not.

The dungeon is 16 levels deep and is divided into 4 sections, like the original game. Any character can enter the dungeon and earn the associated achievements and gold, as long as your level 1 character completes it in one go. It’s worth noting that the dungeon also gives you a lot of XP, giving your new character the opportunity to reach level 30 by completing the dungeon on Normal difficulty.

Diablo Series And Tristram

It’s worth knowing that Tristram has appeared in every previous mainline Diablo game. In Diablo 2, you’ll find the town infested by demons after passing through a portal, and many characters from Diablo 1 have either been killed or corrupted. You’ll need to fight the possessed blacksmith and escape to safety after managing to rescue Deckard Cain.

In Diablo 3, however, the game actually starts in New Tristram, a second settlement located west of the original town. Although you can still visit Old Tristram by exploring the wilderness, it’s full of zombies, and old fountains, buildings, and other things that are decaying and abandoned. If you’ve been playing since the days of Diablo 1, exploring old Tristram might be a sad experience, but it’s actually a highlight of the game developers left in Diablo 3.

In Diablo 4, however, you are taken to a nightmarish town by Mephisto, and you as the player will eventually find that it’s all an illusion, or a creepy version of Tristram. So it would be great if Diablo 3’s Darkening of Tristram could be moved into Diablo 4 and explored.

Essentially, Tristram’s assets already exist in Diablo 4, so if you want to truly experience Darkening of Tristram in it, all you need is a dungeon to host it. Based on this, you can go to hell through a few levels and possibly get a special Diablo 4 version of Darkening of Tristram.

Why Is It Recommended To Add Darkening Of Tristram To Diablo 4?

From the perspective of art style and aesthetics, Diablo 4 is more realistic and dark, close to the aesthetics of Diablo 1 and 2, while Diablo 3 is more vivid and cartoony, but the style of Darkening of Tristram event itself is darker. So in this sense, Darkening of Tristram is more suitable for Diablo 4 than Diablo 3.

Since you will encounter Diablo as the ultimate boss in Darkening of Tristram, but this boss does not appear in Diablo 4, it may make you feel inconsistent if you introduce Diablo in this way. However, Darkening of Tristram is just an event for nostalgia, so it may not be necessary to set Diablo in it the same as the final version.

Although Darkening of Tristram is also a good experience in Diablo 3, if Diablo 4 can inherit such a beloved traditional event, you can not only get a better activity experience in the new version but also be more aesthetically logical, and it will also help to connect Diablo 4 with the classic activities in the best way.

As the latest series that is booming, Diablo 4 needs to be constantly added with new content, and Darkening of Tristram can undoubtedly be an ideal way. But more importantly, it can help you better adapt to the new era represented by Diablo 4.

After the introduction, I believe you will want to experience Darkening of Tristram in Diablo 4 and feel the unique fusion fun between them. Look forward to it!
