The first thing you need to do after entering the new Diablo 4 season is to create a character and upgrade him to the maximum level as soon as possible so that you can unlock more game content while becoming stronger.
Most of the XP farming methods in different seasons of Diablo 4 are not very different, but there will be some details due to the addition of new seasonal content, and different XP farming locations are suitable for different level stages.
Based on this, this time we will introduce you to how to choose the best XP acquisition method based on your leveling situation in Season 9 based on the playable content of Season 9.
Season 9 brings Horadric Spells, but in order to unlock all spells and utilize them to craft new builds suitable for you, you must continue to upgrade. In addition, only when you reach the maximum level 60 can you unlock the paragon board to further strengthen your characters and builds.
Your character is in the “beginning” stage at this stage, so don’t rush to challenge the difficult content that provides a lot of XP (you may not unlock them yet), but start with the most basic quests.
As you know, there are multiple difficulty settings in Diablo 4, and the harder the quests, the more Diablo 4 gold and XP they reward you. But considering that you haven’t even unlocked class specializations at the beginning, normal difficulty is the best choice.
Although normal difficulty rewards less, the enemies are easier to kill and you can get the required XP in a short time. However, if you play with friends or have mercenaries, switching to Hard difficulty is also feasible, and you can get an extra XP boost.
After completing the main campaign, you can start accumulating Grim Favors by completing Tree of Whispers quests to get rewards. These quests are usually relatively simple and can help you complete part of the main content or seasonal journey goals at the same time.
The most important thing about Tree of Whispers quest in Season 9 is that it rewards you with Nightmare Sigils, which is the only thing that can help you enter Nightmare Dungeon and farm more XP or other loot later.
Each Diablo 4 season will have a corresponding seasonal main quest. Although completing them is mainly to advance the story, you can also earn XP as one of the quest rewards.
More importantly, completing these quests in S9 will allow you to unlock and enter the new dungeon Horadric Strongrooms and obtain the desired Horadric Spells.
When your character reaches level 10 and level 20, you can unlock the craft and utilize of healing potions and elixirs, respectively. The former can help you restore health to complete combat, and the latter can increase your experience points by 5%, improving your XP farming efficiency.
At this stage, you should have mastered several Horadric Spells and preliminary Season 9 dungeon clearing tips, so you can try more advanced challenges to earn XP.
As one of the main dungeons in Diablo 4, Nightmare Dungeon has been upgraded in S9 - Nightmare Dungeon Escalations. It is composed of 3 ordinary nightmare dungeons, which can provide affixes to increase the difficulty and bring you more rewards.
Based on this, besides the regular XP drop, Forgotten Wisdom affix brought by the random Nightmare Sigil will cause the enemy to drop experience orbs, bringing you extra XP.
In addition to the in-game drop rewards, Diablo 4 will also provide you with additional rewards through the supporting upgradeable welfare system, such as you can get Smoldering Ashes to upgrade seasonal blessings by completing specific season goals.
The more levels of seasonal blessings you unlock, the better the rewards and rarity you can get. In fact, in addition to XP or gold, you have the opportunity to get rare materials or gear through seasonal blessings.
The idea of this method is actually based on improving your combat efficiency. According to the performance of each class, the builds that perform well in Season 9 include Hydra Sorcerer and Quill Volley Spiritborn.
The reason this method is placed at the end of the intermediate stage is that you can only craft these builds after you have obtained enough levels, gear and Horadric Spells.
At this point, your character is basically mature enough to deal with most game content. The methods introduced above and other game events/dungeons can be your XP source, but there is another method that should not be missed.
The strongholds in the game will spawn many enemies, and there are 18 of strongholds, which is very suitable for you to conduct concentrated XP farming after breaking through level 50 to reach the maximum level as soon as possible.
It’s worth noting that the amount of XP provided by a fortress does not change depending on the difficulty level, so you can complete them with normal difficulty and complete them faster.
These are all the ways we have introduced to you to farm XP in Diablo 4 Season 9 to level up as quickly as possible. If your character is still in the early stages, I believe this guide will definitely help you!
Typically, the transition between seasons is the busiest time for Diablo 4 players, as you need to simultaneously experience the next season's PTR and wrap up the current one.
Thankfully, the two aren't mutually exclusive. The results of your efforts in the current season can be validated or carried forward in PTR or the new season, especially some new builds.
With this in mind, this time we'll introduce Lunging Strike Barbarian Build for Diablo 4 Season 10. Its strength lies in its simple control and powerful enough to decimate enemies and delve into dungeons in the endgame.
Assuming Barbarian isn't nerfed, this build is expected to remain available in 2.5.0 PTR and even Season 11. The difference lies in Chaos Perks being replaced by better new season mechanics.
As the name suggests, Lunging Strike is the core skill addition for this build. It generates Fury in addition to dealing physical damage, and attacks by dashing forward and attacking.
Later, you'll need to upgrade this skill to Combat Lunging Strike. This way, if you land a critical hit while using a skill, you'll enter a Berserking state, increasing your speed and damage output in combat.
All of these form the foundation for this build to work. Next, you'll need to unlock other skills with the primary goal of increasing damage reduction, distributing skill points evenly.
As you progress, you'll need to continually unlock more skills for this build, but your primary focus should be on increasing Fury generation or boosting damage and health.
It's worth noting that some gear, such as Shard of Verathiel or Hooves of the Mountain God, requires Fury consumption to achieve better combat effectiveness.
Hooves of the Mountain God, a Barbarian-exclusive piece of gear, not only generates additional Fury per second but also consumes Fury to deal with additional damage with basic skills.
While Masterworking in Season 10 didn't receive the same positive changes as in 2.5.0 PTR, it's still important to earn Diablo 4 gold and other materials to enhance gear through these mechanics to improve the overall effectiveness of your build.
Paragon Board is the best way to continue improving your character after max level, so careful board planning can help you refine your build and further improve your overall combat effectiveness.
For Lunging Strike Barbarian Build, unlocking Paragon nodes remains crucial, focusing on consistently generating and utilizing Fury and managing it while Berserking for as long as possible to deal extra damage and maximize damage reduction.
You need to utilize all available Paragon Points to earn them. Just like unlocking skills, you should continue to develop your Paragon Board according to the core objectives we've outlined until you've used up all your points.
We actually recommended two suitable pieces of gear when we introduced skill builds. The advantage of Season 10 is that with the addition of Chaos Armor, you have more freedom when choosing your gear, without having to worry too much about slot placement.
So, while Ramaladni's Magnum Opus is a unique sword, you can obtain its Chaos Armor version and place it in any slot you want. This gear's primary purpose is to deal bonus damage by consuming Fury - a perfect fit for the crafting core of your build.
Other gear worth adding is Fists of Fate, which grants a chance to apply random crowd control effects and bonus damage, making enemies vulnerable and easier to eliminate.
It's important to note that Hooves of the Mountain God deals bonus damage by repeatedly casting basic skills until Fury is depleted, which then causes basic skills to deal with additional damage through slashing.
So, as you continue to add gear, you'll want to avoid weapons that prioritize consuming your Fury over Hooves of the Mountain God, otherwise they won't function properly and you'll waste a slot.
Every Season 10 build should include Chaos Perks. These seasonal mechanics are one of the easiest and most effective ways to gain additional boosts to your build, though there are limits on the number and types of perks you can carry.
For Lunging Strike Barbarian build, if you're too lazy to change your perks before each fight, we recommend prioritizing the following:
You'll find that while the process of unlocking skills or Paragon nodes is lengthy, crafting and using the entire Lunging Strike Barbarian Build always maintains a clear core and purpose, preventing unnecessary frustration during gameplay.
We hope this introduction will enhance your Season 10 experience, and we wish you all the best in 2.5.0 PTR - which already started on October 21st!
On October 16th, Diablo 4 held its Sanctuary Sitdown preview for Season 11 and the associated 2.5.0 PTR, providing a preview of a host of new content and changes expected in the new season and PTR.
While Sanctuary Sitdown didn't include any further details about the second DLC and the 2026 plans as previously predicted, it's clear that Season 11 will feature significantly more changes than previous seasons.
Based on Sanctuary Sitdown and other official information, we'll provide a preview of 2.5.0 PTR content.
While the release date for Season 11 remains to be determined, we can confirm that 2.5.0 PTR will be available to all PC Battle.net users on October 21st. As is customary with Diablo 4, PTR typically lasts about a week, so it'll likely end around October 28th or 29th.
You can actually infer a possible release date for Season 11 from this, but honestly, that's not the main point right now. Understanding the content in 2.5.0 PTR will help you get started with the new season.
In general, 2.5.0 PTR consists of three main components: a major overhaul of existing core mechanics, the return of previously removed features, and new dungeons and bosses.
Interestingly, most of this content wasn't announced on 2025 content roadmap. Clearly, Diablo 4 intends to utilize Season 11, the season connecting 2025 and 2026, to deliver a surprise at the end of the year.
The changes primarily focus on item upgrades, Renown system, and reworks or optimizations to how potions work. We'll cover each of these.
Once you've acquired your ideal gear in Diablo 4, as your abilities increase, you can enhance it to match your character's strength through the specialized systems. These systems are primarily Tempering and Masterworking.
Tempering allows you to add one affix to your gear, but each Tempering session can yield three possible affixes. Unlucky enough to randomly receive a poor affix can actually lower the value of your gear.
Similarly, the results of Masterworking are also tied to luck. This system requires you to consume Diablo 4 gold and other necessary materials to upgrade your gear's existing affixes, but if the desired effect isn't achieved, you need to reset.
This can easily lead to wasting time, effort, game materials, and gold on enhancing your gear, especially with Masterworking, as resetting only returns a small portion of the materials.
However, in 2.5.0 PTR, both systems are undergoing changes, arguably with the sole purpose of improving your experience.
First, Tempering recipes allow you to directly select the specific affix you want, eliminating the need for randomized modifiers and allowing you to change them at will. However, to balance this change, gear can only receive one Tempering affix in total.
Masterworking, on the other hand, will now improve the overall quality of gear, up to level 20. After that, you can continue to roll for a Capstone bonus, upgrading a random non-premium affix to a premium affix.
Building on this, 2.5.0 PTR will also introduce Sanctification, allowing you to select another random buff for gear after completing Tempering and Masterworking. However, after Sanctification, the gear cannot be modified.
The changes in defense mechanics are truly revolutionary. By making armor and resistances a rating system, Diablo 4's defensive potions are rendered useless.
In 2.5.0 PTR, equipped armor will reduce damage taken from all types, and the armor and resistance penalties associated with Torment difficulty will be removed. All your defensive attributes will be represented by the new Toughness metric.
Regarding healing, potions will now instantly restore 35% of your total health. This translates to a reduction in the amount of base potions you can carry, but they will recharge faster. Additionally, the stats of all health-boosting affixes will be increased.
In most previous Diablo seasons, you earned Renown points by progressing through the season, which in turn led to rewards for progressing through Renown system.
Starting with Season 11, while you will still be able to progress through Renown system in Eternal Realm, it will be merged with Season Journey into a new system, Season Rank, on seasonal servers.
In fact, the changes are minimal functionally, because you'll still need to complete various objectives to earn seasonal rewards, but the merger will clearly streamline these seasonal systems.
New content expected to be exclusively part of Season 11 will primarily focus on the multi-level dungeon, The Tower, and the new world boss, Azmodan.
The Tower requires you to kill enough enemies within 10 minutes to summon a random boss. Defeating the boss ends the dungeon and stops the timer.
Notably, the leaderboard feature, previously removed from Diablo 4, returns with the release of The Tower. All your Tower dungeon battles will be ranked by class and number of players.
The development team stated that The Tower in Season 11 is more of a pilot, and they will continue to refine and expand the dungeon content based on actual player feedback.
In addition to the leaderboard system, Capstone dungeons will also return to Diablo 4 in 2.5.0 PTR. There are five returning dungeons, each with a different recommended challenge level and difficulty, allowing you to choose one based on your ability.
Above is a preview of 2.5.0 PTR highlights. Use this information to prepare for PTR over the next four days!
While efficiency has been improved, Masterworking gear still requires the consumption of specific materials. To reduce farming time and focus on PTR itself, it's best to get safe and cheap Diablo 4 items trading at D4GOLD!
If you've been playing Diablo 4 since at least the beginning of this year, you're probably aware that starting with Season 8, the game's most dangerous endgame bosses (also known as ladder bosses) have been fully upgraded to lair bosses.
This change isn't just in name; more importantly, the mechanics shift from gathering materials to summoning a boss to starting the fight, to allowing you to directly fight them, but you must first collect lair keys to unlock the boss's corresponding hoard upon victory.
To ensure you're getting the right lair keys, lair bosses are now divided into three different tiers: initiate, greater, and exalted. Higher-tier lair keys may require killing lower-tier lair bosses, while others can be obtained by completing regular Diablo 4 events.
The reason you should continue farming lair bosses in Season 10 is that they drop Unique or Mythic Uniques. While some may not be as powerful as Chaos Armor, the overall value is still worth the effort.
So how should you farm lair bosses in Season 10, and what tips should you keep in mind? We'll explain below.
There are nine lair bosses in Season 10, each with its own lair key and loot pool. While you can theoretically farm a specific set of lair bosses, you'll need to complete other gameplay or boss battles to obtain the keys needed to unlock their hoards.
One thing worth noting and encouraging is that after defeating an initiate lair boss, in addition to the higher-level lair keys, Stygian Stones will also drop. This item can be converted 1:1 into any desired greater lair key.
All lair bosses and the lair keys/Stygian Stone drops they can provide are as follows:
In addition to defeating low-level bosses, you can also earn specific lair keys by completing the following Diablo 4 events or gameplay:
Belial's Ambush is essentially an ambush that randomly triggers after defeating any initiate or greater boss, ensuring you have a chance to unlock Belial's hoard.
While this small Belial isn't as dangerous as a full-fledged boss, you must remain vigilant during the fight. During battle, it will attack you with a combination of blood and poison magic, requiring you to dodge quickly and carry gear with appropriate resistance.
While you no longer need to collect summoning materials in advance, it's recommended to wait until your character level is high enough to handle endgame content before finding and challenging a Lair Boss.
You can find the corresponding lair boss on the map by its unique icon. Right-clicking it will teleport you to the boss and begin the fight. However, before doing so, you'll need to understand the boss's lair keys and drop information and find reliable allies.
First, all lair bosses have the potential to drop either Uniques or Mythic Uniques. These drops are categorized as general available to all classes, and gear specific to each class.
When you defeat a boss and receive your first Unique drop, it will be a class-exclusive item. If you obtain other Unique loot or defeat the boss later, your chances of receiving general or exclusive loot are equal.
In addition, it's recommended to complete the lair boss fight in a group, not only because it's more efficient, but also because each additional team member increases the boss's chance of dropping additional Unique loot by 33%.
Alternatively, you can increase the boss's loot drop rate by increasing the difficulty. Typically, at Torment 3 difficulty, the current lair boss will drop one additional Unique loot. At Torment 4 difficulty and with enough players, the boss may even drop seven.
In addition to lair keys, you'll also need to complete other tasks to earn gold and other crafting materials. Therefore, it's not recommended to directly challenge initiate boss after entering the endgame. Instead, first obtain Undercity Tributes through Helltides.
To do this, you must first own Vessel of Hatred DLC, which qualifies you for entering and farming Kurast Undercity. You can then earn more Undercity Tributes by repeatedly defeating Blood Maidens in Helltides.
The more Tributes you use before entering Kurast Undercity, the greater the rewards you'll ultimately receive, significantly increasing your chances of obtaining lair keys by completing Kurast Undercity.
That's all you need to know before farming Diablo 4 lair bosses in Season 10. While you're doing the quests, don't forget to challenge the new boss Bartuc in Infernal Hordes to obtain Chaos Armor!
If defeating lair bosses to obtain Unique or Mythic Uniques on your own is too tedious or difficult, you can also trade safe Diablo 4 items at D4GOLD! Simply enter the name of the Unique item you want to instantly retrieve and buy it!
Although it's only been less than a month since Diablo 4 Season 10 officially launched, the development team has already begun preparing for a new round of Sanctuary Sitdowns for Season 11, previewing information about the new 2.5.0 PTR.
To be honest, this seems a bit rushed compared to the pre-release schedules of past seasons. After all, Season 11 is typically released in January of the next year, while pre-release Sanctuary Sitdowns typically take place only about a month in advance.
Therefore, we can speculate on two possibilities for this sitdown: either Season 11 holds special significance for Diablo 4 (such as being the final season), or further plans for the game in 2026 will be announced through this discussion stream.
Below, we'll combine the official information already released about Diablo 4 Season 11 Sanctuary Sitdown to provide you with an introduction and speculation.
Sanctuary Sitdown event for Season 11 and 2.5.0 PTR will take place on October 16th at 11:00 AM PDT, and the format will differ from previous events.
Before the release of 2.4.0 PTR, Diablo 4 switched from its traditional Campfire Chats, livestreamed on Twitch or YouTube, to a Sanctuary Sitdown, a Q&A format held on Discord. You had to join Sanctuary Discord group to ask questions.
This upcoming Sanctuary Sitdown will combine the two approaches. The development team will first broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube, announcing the next steps for the game through a conversation with the host, followed by an additional Q&A session in Sanctuary Discord.
While it's still unknown what new Diablo 4 developments of this Sanctuary Sitdown will reveal, or how satisfied players will be, the combination of a livestream and Q&A will undoubtedly provide a more comprehensive answer to your questions about Season 11 or 2.5.0 PTR.
If you're familiar with or participated in Sanctuary Sitdown on August 14th, you'll know that it was quite restricted. You had to log in to Diablo Discord server and click "Interested" on Sanctuary Sitdown Event page to ask questions.
Furthermore, August 14th Discord Q&A didn't feature a recording or replay feature. This means if you missed it, you'll only be able to access relevant content through screen recordings or summaries uploaded by other players.
The upcoming 2.5.0 PTR Sanctuary Sitdown will initially feature a livestream similar to Campfire Chats, hosted by veteran ARPG player and creator Rhykker.
This means he'll ask more specialized questions, allowing you to gain key insights from the development team's answers. After the livestream, you'll have a clearer idea of what you'd like to learn more about, allowing you to better utilize Q&A session.
This shift in format suggests that Diablo 4 development team is, at least for now, more attentive to player feedback and suggestions than before. It also suggests that the upcoming Sanctuary Sitdown may reveal even more content than before.
While this Sanctuary Sitdown is likely to focus on previewing and introducing Season 11 and 2.5.0 PTR, the content of both the livestream interview and Q&A will not be strictly limited.
Therefore, it's reasonable to assume that both the host and players will raise popular questions about the second DLC and the number of seasons Diablo 4 will have. However, how the developers will respond remains unknown.
The second DLC, originally scheduled for 2025, has been delayed to 2026. With 2026 less than three months away, it's honestly worth it to tease some information to pique player interest.
Whenever Diablo 4 hosts a content preview livestream before a new season or PTR, and Twitch is included, you have a chance to receive a drop - usually new gear or cosmetics - by watching the livestream on Twitch.
Twitch Drop for Sanctuary Sitdown on October 16th is Rogue class-exclusive, one-handed cosmetic Penitent's Poniard. To receive it, you'll need to meet the following requirements:
This concludes our understanding of the new Sanctuary Sitdown. Since the livestream will take place mid-week next week, if you don't have time to watch, you can watch the replay or other people's summaries to get a head start on the next PTR.
While staying up to date on game developments is important, now your primary focus in Diablo 4 Season 10 is still farming! This is especially important if you want to become stronger or unlock enough hoards for the lair boss.
To this end, D4GOLD Buy Diablo 4 Items page provides nearly every item you need for Season 10, ensuring a secure and convenient shopping experience!
As you enter a new season in Diablo 4, you need to quickly acquire rare and powerful gear to ensure your character is strong enough to face more dangerous enemies and challenging content.
In Season 10, while Chaos Armor is a valuable seasonal item for quickly boosting your combat power, classic mythic items are still worth farming. They boast 800 item power and come with at least one high-level affix, significantly improving their stats.
So, with Chaos Armor so popular in Season 10, what are the best ways to obtain mythic items? This time, we'll introduce the four most efficient methods.
In addition to direct drops, mythic items can also be crafted by consuming Resplendent Spark as a material at a blacksmith or jeweler.
To ensure you have enough Resplendent Sparks, there are many ways to obtain them. Defeating the boss Echo of Lilith on Torment difficulty is one such option.
However, it's important to note that you can only obtain one Resplendent Spark per season by this way.
As one of the most dangerous bosses since Diablo 4's launch, Lilith presents a challenge every season, but as long as you master her attack patterns and power up as much as possible, obtaining this Resplendent Spark is easy.
First, you need to travel to the southwestern Fractured Peaks to complete the quest Echo of Hatred. Once you obtain Lilith's lair keys, you can begin the boss fight to unlock the final loot (this is a mechanic change from Season 8).
The fight is divided into two phases, each with Lilith's health bar at full strength. In general, during both phases, you should aim to increase your movement speed to avoid being hit by Blood Orb abilities and also increase your Shadow resistance.
During this phase, Lilith will generate Blood Orbs through Blood Blisters. To avoid them, you must stay within the boss's attack range. If you are hit, you will be inflicted with a stacking debuff.
In addition, the boss will unleash several wavelike abilities during this phase. You must remain vigilant and observe their movements to dodge them. Towards the end of this phase, the boss will summon Oppressors to assist her, which you must destroy.
At the beginning of Phase 2, the boss will create four Blood Pools and continue to generate Blood Orbs. She will then gradually destroy three sections of the platform that serve as the arena: the top third, the top right corner, and the top left corner.
As she begins to destroy the platform, you must move away from the affected section, avoid damage from Void Orbs generated by Blood Pools, and prevent the boss from pulling you towards her after destroying the platform.
After defeating Lilith in Phase 2, you will receive loot, one of which is Resplendent Spark.
To ensure you have a purposeful approach to your gameplay and a clearer focus for your efforts, Diablo 4 introduces a Season Journey system for each season. This system assigns various objectives based on the main storyline, and rewards are awarded upon completion.
The rewards for the final chapter of Season Journey typically include a Resplendent Spark, which you can use to craft a mythical item of your choice.
In Season 10, Season Journey chapter that rewards you with Resplendent Spark is Destroyer Chapter. By completing the objectives for this chapter, you can earn the following cache rewards:
Complete all objectives within the chapter to earn the following rewards:
Chaos Rifts are a seasonal event exclusive to Season 10. Farming them will yield a variety of rare loot, including Chaos Armor and Chaos Perks. Chaos Rifts come in four different rarities, with higher rarity yielding better rewards.
The raciest are Mythic Chaos Rifts, and each one you complete guarantees a mythic item drop. Of course, the chance of these Chaos Rifts appearing is also very low, requiring you to repeatedly farm Helltides or Nightmare Dungeons to find one or two.
When a Chaos Rift icon appears on the mini-map, hover your mouse over it to view detailed information about the event. If it's mythic, you can then travel to the designated location and kill the enemies surging from the rift to obtain loot.
In Season 10, when you farm Infernal Hordes, in addition to the chance of receiving loot during combat, you can also exchange Infernal chests by Burning Aether, a special currency you collect. Opening these chests also has a chance of receiving mythic items.
To maximize farming efficiency, we recommend teaming up with friends and completing the challenge on Torment 1+ difficulty.
In addition, Infernal Hordes is a wave-based game mode. Before each wave begins, you can select an Infernal Offer, which provides a random bonus (either positive or negative).
Season 10 introduces Chaos Waves as the fourth offer, which have random effects and are very beneficial for collecting Burning Aether. You can also take advantage of this opportunity to obtain more Infernal chests and increase the drop rate of mythic items.
This concludes the guide to obtaining mythic items or crafting materials in Diablo 4 Season 10. I hope it helps you complete the season! Have fun!
If you're having trouble finding the mythic items you're looking for, or if farming Resplendent Spark is too difficult, searching for the mythic items you need on D4GOLD Buy Diablo 4 Items page will also help you find what you're looking for!
In addition, if you want to buy more Diablo 4 gold as a currency reserve, or want to learn more about Diablo 4 information and game guides, D4GOLD will also provide related services!
Today, we'd like to discuss Shred Druid build in Diablo 4 Season 10. This build's incredible movement speed and board clearing capabilities quickly make it an ideal choice for campaign advancement, dungeon clearing, and general monster raiding.
Additionally, Shred Druid boasts high damage output focused on Critical Strikes and Overpowers, excellent mobility, and a strong defensive layer built with Barriers and Fortify. More importantly, it offers powerful endgame scaling with minimal unique gear requirements, making it one of the fastest and easiest Druid builds to learn.
With this build, you can easily handle any imaginable scenario, whether it's boss kills, leveling, Diablo 4 gold farming, or even pushing The Pits. Crucially, it doesn't require any mandatory Mythic Unique Items, which is why we highly recommend this build.
Next, I'll cover everything you need to know about Shred Druid build's gear, skill tree, Aspects, Chaos Perks, and more.
First, let's start with the fundamentals of this build. Shred Druid build doesn't require specific items to function properly, making it versatile and offering a wide variety of gear options.
That being said, it does require specific ultimate abilities and Aspects, which are key to making this build more effective.
We'll be using Aspect of the Wildrage because it provides significant balance, damage reduction, increased damage, and an additional 30% armor at rank 5. Pairing it with a Shred maximizes its effectiveness.
However, as we all know, Grizzly Rage is a Werebear ability. Therefore, to use it with a Shred, we need a must-have Aspect: Dire Wolf's Aspect. When we activate Grizzly Rage, it transforms us into a Dire Werewolf, providing generous bonuses like movement speed and damage reduction. With this aspect, we can now use Shred and our Werewolf abilities.
Another key aspect is Aspect of the Rabid Bear, which converts our direct damage into poison, converts it into elemental damage, and passively applies Rabies to enemies while Grizzly Rage is active.
Next, with these two as a starting point, we can begin building everything else to maximize Shred's damage.
Now that we have a grasp of the key aspects of our build, let's talk about the gameplay loop and explain the mechanics used extensively here.
First, we need two runes: Moni and Que. Moni allows you to cast abilities immediately after moving, with a 0.2-second cooldown, increasing your ability to cast them more frequently; while Que summons Druid's Earthen Bulwark, providing a barrier.
Whenever we use a Mobility or Macabre Skill, Moni activates Que to create a Runeword. Therefore, our Earthen Bulwark will always be active.
The trick is that while Earthen Bulwark is active, each Wild Transformation will cause a confusion, transforming us back to Human form.
When Que activates, it detects that it's a Human form skill. So, even if you can't see the animation, we're actually constantly changing form.
Understanding this, you'll see that we're constantly transitioning from Human to Werewolf form. This means that the bonuses from Wild Transformations and the constant Werewolf form both increase attack speed, and for a build like Shred that relies on continuous critical hits, the 20% increase in critical hit damage is a huge DPS boost.
In addition, Human form also triggers Cyclone Armor, granting non-physical damage reduction from nearby Cyclones. This means that each time we transform, we attract monsters to optimize our DPS.
Now, let's break down the gear we're currently using in this build; this set alone is enough to get us through the entire game.
It's worth noting that Chaos Armor may shift positions depending on what items you have. For example, if you have Fists of Fate on your helmet and Malefic Crescent on your pants, they will function normally, so just make sure you have them.
Let's continue with the skill tree. Starting with Maul, alternate with Shred and stack Rapid Attack before using Grizzly Rage. We'll then move on to Primal Shred for increased critical damage, which is perfect for this build, with the emphasis on preserving Cyclone Armor.
As mentioned earlier, since Que summons Earthen Bulwark and uses Barrier to mitigate damage, and it's always active, we can invest 2 points in Barrier and Preserving Blood Howl to increase attack speed.
Additionally, investing 3 points in Feral Aptitude boosts damage output when the character is at full health and moving at a speed above 100% of their base level. High movement speed synergizes well with Malefic Crescent.
Electric Shock increases root chance and bonus damage, synergizing well with Fists of Fate's Lucky Hits, so invest 3 points in it.
Grizzly Rage adds 5 points, increasing our armor limit and survivability.
The key passive here is Lupine Ferocity, which benefits strongly from Malefic Crescent and Mad Wolf's Glee.
Finally, Shred Druid Chaos Perk selection is extensive, but we'll only mention three here, as Seasonal Power selection is the icing on the cake. These Chaos Powers, when combined, make it easy to create a high-damage, highly maneuverable build.
This concludes our complete guide to Shred Druid builds in Diablo 4 Season 10. Shred Druid's unparalleled mobility and clearing speed allow you to effortlessly dart between enemies and deliver massive critical hits. You don't even need to rely on numerous unique items to create an exhilarating, fast-paced experience with quick dashes and critical damage!
While Shred Druid build doesn't require you to use more Uniques or Mythic Uniques, if you're an ultimate player seeking higher damage and aiming for The Pits 150+ with this build, you can buy cheap and safe Diablo 4 Gold from D4GOLD to equip your build with all the top-tier gear, maximizing your DPS and ready to single-handedly crush Uber bosses!
