Is Spiritborn Spirit Hall Mechanic Still Useful In Diablo 4 Season 8?

Apr 09, 2025 Author: D4gold

In order for all Diablo 4 classes to survive and continue in every Diablo 4 season as much as possible, they need to have exclusive mechanics that are distinctive and powerful enough. As a new class born from DLC and Season 6, although now Spiritborn’s popularity seems to be not as high as it was at the beginning, the fact that it has not been replaced by a new class is enough to show its value.

The birth of this class not only brings the sixth new region Nahantu to Diablo 4, but also expands your class selection and enriches your combat style with its unique mechanics, such as its unique Spirit Hall mechanic. If you like this class very much and want to continue playing in Season 8, you may be curious whether the important Spirit Hall mechanic is still useful in this season? If it is useful, how to unlock it? Next, we will introduce it to you one by one.

Is Spiritborn Spirit Hall Mechanic Still Useful In Diablo 4 Season 8?

What Is Spirit Hall?

Almost every Diablo 4 class has its own unique mechanic that provides additional ways to further customize your class and give you a combat experience that is unique to that class, and for Spiritborn, that mechanic is Spirit Hall.

Specifically, Spirit Hall includes four spirit guardians, namely Balazan the Centipede, Kwatli the Eagle, Wumba the Gorilla, and Rezoka the Jaguar. Each guardian can provide you with a primary effect and a secondary effect, which you can equip as needed (primary and secondary effects can come from different guardians).

When your character reaches level 15 as a Spiritborn, you can start completing Spirit Hunt questline, which not only helps you complete your early Diablo 4 Gold accumulation, but also activates your primary spirit guardian, and you can add secondary spirit guardians when you reach level 30.

The Role Of The Four Spirit Guardians

Each spirit guardian has different Primary and Secondary abilities, which we will introduce to you in detail below as a combat reference.

1. Balazan The Centipede

  • Primary ability: When you hit an enemy with a centipede ability, you reduce their damage by 2.5% and slow them by 10%. This effect lasts for 3 seconds and can be stacked up to 8 times.
  • Secondary ability: For every enemy you damage within 3 seconds, you heal yourself for 1% of the damage, up to a maximum of 5%.

2. Kwatli The Eagle

  • Primary ability: When you cast an eagle ability, you gain 4 Storm Feathers of movement speed, and if you can throw up to 8 Storm Feathers in each remaining second, you can continue to deal 62 Lightning damage to the enemy and make the target vulnerable for 5 seconds.
  • Secondary ability: For every 4 meters you move, your critical chance increases by 4%, and this buff resets 2 seconds after you complete a critical hit.

3. Wumba The Gorilla

  • Primary ability: Hitting enemies with a gorilla skill also deals 100% more thorns and grants you a barrier equal to 5% of your maximum health, stacking up to 30% for 3 seconds.
  • Secondary ability: Increases Resolve by 2.

4. Rezoka The Jaguar

  • Primary ability: Every 15 times you use the jaguar skill on an enemy, you’ll launch an additional attack that deals 15% of the damage you’ve dealt them in the last 0.5 seconds.
  • Secondary ability: Increases Ferocity by 1.

How To Unlock Spirit Hall?

As we’ve already mentioned, you can only unlock Spirit Hall mechanic and enjoy the benefits it provides after reaching the required character level and completing Spirit Hunt questline. First, when you reach level 15 you’ll receive a priority quest, The Sacred Hunt, which has three steps to solve.

1. The Sacred Hunt: Kehjistan

After the quest begins, you need to go to Gea Kul and talk to the messenger Tarka there. Tarka will tell you that foragers were brutally killed in Central Plateau, which may foreshadow the beginning of Sacred Hunt that all Spiritborn must undertake. After that, please follow the following steps:

  • 1. Meet Tarka at Hakan’s Oasis
  • 2. Speak to Ito
  • 3. Find Tarka the Emissary
  • 4. Find Tarka on the island
  • 5. Inspect the strange creature tracks
  • 6. Speak with Tarka
  • 7. Enter the spirit portal

2. The Sacred Hunt: Sacred Hunting Grounds

After entering the spirit portal, you need to kill some enemies to fill a progress bar called Kill the Invaders. After that, the portal to Sacred Hunting Grounds will be fully opened. You can continue to advance the mission by following the steps below:

  • 1. Speak to Tarka the Emissary
  • 2. Ask for “Help” near the brazier
  • 3. Complete Sacred Hunt
  • 4. Hunt for The Beast
  • 5. Survive the ambush - 60 seconds
  • 6. Hunt for The Beast
  • 7. Speak to Astral Tarka, the Emissary
  • 8. Give “Thanks” near the brazier
  • 9. Confront The Beast
  • 10. Petition the spirit guardians against Nature’s Wrath

3. The Sacred Hunt: The Beast, Nature’s Wrath

When you find The Beast, Nature’s Wrath, it means the final battle is about to begin. After defeating him and getting the loot, you need to talk to Astral Tarka again and petition spirit guardians against Nature’s Wrath. Then Tarka will reward you with some gear and a Legendary Glaive, and you will also unlock Spirit Hall.

In fact, Spirit Hall also plays an important role in most Spiritborn builds, so it can be expected that it will still be a very important mechanism in Season 8. If you want to keep playing Spiritborn, please unlock it as soon as possible!
