Diablo 4 Beginner Must See - Focus On Class, Level, Items, Crafting & Side Activities

Jun 01 ,2023 Author: D4gold

Here I’ll share with you some key tips and advice in Diablo 4, what to do next and how to better understand the game to help you start your new adventure efficiently.

What Class To Choose?

You can choose any class that you like best in terms of appearance and play style. Every class in this game has many archetypes. Later in the game, you’ll definitely find ways to create your own favorite structures to slay Demons in even more subtle ways.

No doubt at some point, many skills and items will be reworked and tweaked for a more balanced experience. So don’t rely on build guides too early on, just pick the class you want and start playing. Your character will get better once you gain more levels and find more rare and legendary items.

Difficulty Levels

Once you’ve decided on a class of choice, it’s time to choose a difficulty level - Adventurer or Veteran. Although they look very simple, and experienced players will definitely want to choose World Tier 2. But I recommend you start with World Tier 1 for several reasons.

In this difficulty, the boss will have significantly less HP, and you will get the same amount of loot as Veteran. You also get 20% more XP and 15% more gold. But you can still enjoy the game at World Tier 1 as you level up and learn your class, testing many skills and finding legends.

I’m pretty sure if you plan to clear every single side quest and dungeon or undiscovered area. You’re sure to quickly reach the top level and complete the story to unlock the end game event and the new Nightmare difficulty. This will unlock new unique items and Nightmare dungeons.

Level Up

There are some great ways to quickly level up your character. You can complete random events or dungeons with your friends to earn class Aspects. These Aspects can later be used to convert Rare items into Legendary items.

Each friend who runs next to you will increase your XP by 10% to 30%. But it seems that this multiplier doesn’t apply to story and side quests, only to killing monsters around the world. So as long as you kill enemies, especially a group of elites, you will get more experience than a single player.

If you’re going to play Diablo 4 with a party, I recommend that you always stay in sync with your teammates, because if you skip some story missions, you’ll have to complete them in the current world state, anyway. While you can of course join any player and continue doing quests in his world state, this won’t advance your personal story.

Items & Crafting

During the gameplay, you are sure to find many items, common, magic and rare. Most of them are pretty much useless unless you have nothing else to equip.

Some of these rarities will even give you +1 to certain skills, so don’t miss the chance to use those extra points and tweak your builds if needed. If you find a really nice rare item, you can upgrade it to Blacksmith for resources.

Also, if you’ve completed a few dungeons before, you’ll be able to seal a class Aspects and create a Legendary item from it. Make sure to craft it, but don’t over-craft it, and save your resources for later, as you’ll inevitably find better gear in new areas and story missions during leveling.

Also, don’t forget to visit Alchemist in town to improve your potions. You will upgrade your potions at certain levels. To do this, you need to collect plants all over the world, which is not difficult. Just remember to visit Alchemist and your life will be easier, especially in Hardcore mode.

Side Activities

Once you get used to the environment, you can move on to more side quests. You can also find Altar of Lilith, unlock new waypoints, clear Strongholds with dungeons, and discover hidden areas. Whenever you complete these activities, you’ll earn Reputation in one of five availability zones.

As for random events, don’t hesitate to complete them. They only take a little over two minutes, and you’ll be rewarded with XP and some Diablo 4 Gold.

Speaking of World Bosses, you don’t want to miss your chance to take part in these World Tier 1 battles, as they’ll reward you with tons of XP, Legendary Items, and a Bounty Cache each week. I promise you, even if you are low level, you can take down these world bosses with other players.

Summary

Time to wrap up all the tricks that I personally use when starting the game. Please always choose your favorite class. It can be their look or play style. It’s up to you.

Remember that all new characters are weak. They lack skills and legends to show their true power. Just choose the class and ignore most of the build guide early on, since you won’t get all the required legendary items quickly, anyway.

If you find legendary items or decent rares, don’t rush to upgrade them. Save your gold and materials for later use. Don’t forget that you haven’t completed all the dungeons and side quests to get your zone rewards. I’m pretty sure you’ll still be able to reach level 50 even if you save half of the content for the next difficulty level.

Just follow these steps and you’ll easily learn about the game and get used to local activities. That’s it for now.
