We're going to talk about the most important things you should do right now in Diablo 4's Early Access Beta.
From the start, just like in the previous Diablo games, you should pick the higher Veteran difficulty for the extra 20% increase XP gain and 15% more Diablo 4 Gold drops from enemies.
The difference in difficulty from Adventure is barely noticeable, but you'll get to level up with your characters a lot faster. If you somehow chose the other, you don't even need to restart. Just head over to the World Tier Statue right here in the main town and change it from there once more.
Also, keep in mind that teaming up with others and forming parties with players offers another five percent extra XP gain on top of that, so it's worth it to play with your friends or with random players.
The second most important thing you should do right away is to unlock your class specialization as soon as it becomes available. This starts as early as level 7 via a class specific quest. That will appear in the Priority Quest section of the journal between the main and the side missions.
Each class has a different specialization, which unlocks the possibility to further expand upon your character's mechanics and develop your builds to the next level.
For example, Rogue has access to both combo points and the inner side at level 7 and 20, respectively. Meanwhile, Mage gets extra enchantment slots to turn some of its active spells into powerful auto cast.
The quests involving these are rather short and once you're done with them, you will get some powerful effects that will change your character completely.
Another thing that really brings your powers to the next level is the Codex of Power by unlocking legendary aspects. You do so by completing these dungeons and you will notice that each one of them will list special aspects for each of the classes.
To better consult these for your current class, you can also do this directly from the Collections tab and then pin its source onto the map to better reveal where you can get it from.
Do keep in mind, however, that many of these aspects are required from other maps while the demo restricts us to the starting zone of the Fractured Peaks. So, if you cannot get it because it's too far away, just focus on the ones in the Fractured Peaks.
Once you do get to unlock a few of these, you will need to visit the Occultist in the main town, which will let you place these powerful buffs on your gear pieces.
However, this process requires a special crafting mat called Veiled Crystals that you can only get by salvaging rare and above quality items.
Another tip over here is instead of selling these items early on, rather than salvage them at any blacksmith. Once you get at least 12 Veiled Crystals and buy Diablo IV Gold, you can imbue a piece of gear with that legendary aspect on it to gain its power.
But in this process, if you apply an aspect on a yellow piece, for example, you also get to turn that item from rare into a legendary quality. So, this can be a viable way of getting a full legendary set for your character if you have to be unlucky with the drop so far.
Finally, in this category, there's also the inventory aspect. These are completely separate from the Codex of Power and actually come randomly on gear.
Oftentimes, you might get a legendary item with one of these powerful effects that can actually fit for all classes, as they tend to fit a more general role. But there's also more specialized ones for specific classes.
That's why in this case, instead of selling or salvaging these items. Even if you get duplicates, try to extract that first before doing anything with the item itself. In this case, you can transfer that on a different piece of gear should you find it and this also gets stored in a special aspect section in the character's inventory for later use.
Another thing that helps a ton leveling up and gaining new skill points faster is not forgetting to claim the region progress. If you head over into the map menu and press W on the keyboard or the equivalent on the controller, this brings up the track for the Fractured Peaks.
Now, in the final game, all regions will have one and they will all provide wonderful rewards from extra XP, Diablo 4 Gold for sale, skill points, potions and later on even Paragon points.
To complete them, you just need to check the requirements in the two columns below. These usually involve discovering the map unlocking waypoints, completing a number of side quests and generally just playing through the game. And you don't even actually have to complete all of them, you just need to meet the point requirements for the next tier.
For example, the third tier requires 400 Renown, and each objective provides a certain value of Renown from 5 to 100. So, you could easily complete just three strongholds that give 100 Renown each or complete Side Quests for 20 points and so on.
But since we'll be doing a lot of these anyway early on, you'll get the starting two tiers quite easily. It's only the third, fourth and fifth one that might get a little more troublesome, which is why I recommend completing all the side quests that you find.
I really like doing the open world events every time I see them popping up. Which you will as they are indicated with the orange markers or circles on the map when you get close to them and are a significant source of XP as well as loot.
Compared to many other encounters and even more so dungeons, they are much quicker at dropping a bunch of rares and decently enough legendaries as well once you get at least a level 20 with the character, but are worth doing nonetheless even way before that simply because it helps to progress a lot faster.
There are different types of events that generally shuffle between a handful of scenarios. But for the one involving the pillar, I'm going to focus a bit more since I see a lot of people ignoring the main mechanics.
So in this one, you actually have to stay inside of the circle rooms surrounding the main pillar so that you can fill the pillar slowly with the blood magic that you see progressing on the ground.
Once that happens and you defeat the enemies at the end of it, you're going to get a loot shower chest that gives you a ton of items.
Just like in the previous Diablo games, do not miss on the treasure Goblins. These guys can be really inconspicuous. But what makes them easy to notice is the huge backpack, the loot and the goal that drops from it and the fact that they tend to run away from you once you get too close.
So, make sure that if you spot one of these, always pursue them and try to take them down. Once you do, they'll again drop a bunch of loot and money that can come in quite handy. That's why it's recommended to use gap closing abilities like the Shadow Step or Teleport in conjunction with attacks that slow their movements to make this encounter a lot easier.
Meanwhile, let's talk about some of the other vendors in Kyovashad that can prove quite useful.
Do not skip the Veroka, the Alchemist, as she will buff your potions, healing power, and healing over time if you bring her some of these special plans.
Luckily, many side missions provide packages filled with these plans and as long as you just complete a few of them, you should have plenty enough for all the upgrades needed available until Level 25 in this beta.
I know this might sound a bit obvious, but you are not stuck with your current looks and should definitely check out the Wardrobe function too in Kyovashad, specifically because once you acquire at least a few gear sets, you can go ahead and transmog your current items to look like any of the unlocked pieces that you might have liked previously, even to the point of changing completely the color scheme that you have the selection from right there at the bottom.
There are roughly 15 to 20 distinct sets for all classes, so it's worth pursuing them and eventually making your characters stand out from the rest.
Finally, another aspect that lets you further amplify your build is slotting in gems on your gear. You'll notice that different pieces get affected by gems in different ways for armor, weapons and jewelry likewise.
For example, Skulls are excellent on weapons as they provide heal on kill should you require a lot more survivability, but they are pretty decent on jewelry as well for the tremendous boost to armor that they give. As Emeralds play a huge role for Rogue, you need something with more critical hits. And for Topaz, you need something with spell casters that require spell damage and so on.
While slotting in gems can be done at any point for extracting gems or even more so upgrading them, you will need to check out the jewelry also back in Kyovashad.
And I recommend always promoting the lower grade rocks into the ones of higher quality, especially once you got at least three of each of the same level. You will notice that these will get some nice buffs that will make them a lot stronger.
Diablo 4 is filled with those most gruesome foes Hell can conjure. When it comes to overwhelming enemies with horrible strength that can make most of player frightened, the first thing that comes to mind for most players is the hulking mass of flesh of Butcher.

Diablo 4 development team has said that there won’t be a Secret Cow Level in Diablo 4, as they prefer to keep the game’s darker vibes compared to the more cartoony style of Diablo 3. Although the original Diablo 2 was known for its dark style, and the inclusion of an unlockable Secret Cow Level didn’t change the tone of the game much.
However, with Diablo 3’s art style receiving criticism, the developers may want to move away from the previous style, and removing Secret Cow Level is just part of this strategy. Diablo 4’s design wanted to ground, ensuring it would truly reflect gothic, dark themes.
Although a Secret Cow Level has yet to be found in Diablo 4, the game does include a few clues pointing to the hidden level. For example, Oxen Gods have sparked a lot of discussion among players, as well as Bloody Wooden Shard item that has a W carved into it, which could be related to a peg-legged boy that Tristram killed in Diablo 1, and Musty Tome item could also be a reference to Tome of Town Portal. While data mining Diablo 4 2.0 update’s PTR, Wowhead appears to have discovered some suspicious items that could be the key to unlocking the true Secret Cow Level. First, a Rusted Bardiche can be found in PTR. A Bovine Bardiche appeared in Diablo 3, and this knife allowed players to access Secret Cow Level in Diablo 3.
Furthermore, four more items with unique descriptions can be found, Crooked Staff, Jabbering Gemstone, Rusted Old Bell, and Unusual Key. These items could be a reference to Wirt’s Bell, Staff of Herding, and Gibbering Gemstone in Diablo 3, which all helped unlock the secret pony level in Diablo 3. With the successful launch of Diablo 4 Season 5, many players are looking forward to the upcoming Vessel of Hatred DLC on October 8, 2024. Here, we will talk about the new PvE Dungeon added to Diablo 4 DLC, Dark Citadel, which we already know so far.
From what we know, this will be a multiplayer mode, which they call Co-Op Dungeon, where you can defeat a series of bosses with other players while completing different tactics, such as throwing balls at the boss to make it vulnerable.
In fact, when we first heard about this feature, our first impression was that Diablo 4 didn’t need this. Then, when we heard more details, our opinion changed to Diablo 4 definitely didn’t need this. Although we are currently waiting for its PTR test, I believe my opinion will not change. Here, we will talk about why we have such a poor opinion about this new Dark Citadel mechanism.
First of all, you have to admit that Diablo 4 is a single-player game in every sense of the word. Although the developers have tried the concept of an open world before, they have basically failed. Because open world related activities such as World Bosses are still in a terrible state, especially when your character’s damage is compressed and you can only deal a fraction of the normal damage.
Although there are currently solutions to this problem, I believe that the poor experience caused by this absolutely overshadows the fun they brought to players when they first appeared.
In addition to this, there is a bigger joke that every World Boss will be killed in one hit as soon as it appears. The unchallenging content made Diablo 4 lose a lot of players.
Objectively speaking, the open world related content is not completely useless, but they only work in towns, where you can feel the presence of people around you, which makes the world more vivid. However, when it comes to combat, the open world completely fails because the power difference between two random players is huge. Pay to win also makes players who continue to spend time leveling feel meaningless.
Blood Maiden is also a joke in Helltides, not only because Leeching players’ thirst for Exquisite Blood makes challenging bosses just a tedious process of farming Diablo 4 Items, but more importantly, the difficulty setting is meaningless. Usually, Blood Maiden is either killed in one hit by some well-equipped players, or is too difficult for leveled players and takes a long time to kill.
You could say that the content they planned is not outdoor, not open world group play, but raids, so that you can choose your team to overcome these obstacles. The fact that you can choose your team for challenging Torment Bosses is also a joke. Because then people will only farm them for Uniques and Mythic Uniques that drop from those bosses, not because they like 5 seconds of soulless boss fights.
Let’s give the developers a chance and let’s assume that they can handle the balance of difficulty and boss health well in the new Diablo 4 DLC. But I am almost sure that there will be problems with the visibility of boss abilities.
If you’ve played Lightning Spear Sorcerer in the higher levels of Infernal Hordes, you’ll understand how difficult it is to see the boss’ abilities because the effects are everywhere.
Imagine how bad it would be if other players’ spells were 3-4 times more effective, and you had no idea. While the game could suppress other players’ abilities to make them less obvious, I honestly don’t have much faith in the developers’ ability to do this well in raids.
Speaking of this, there will definitely be some Diablo fans who will say that if you don’t like Co-Op Dungeons, you can just not play them. However, if they didn’t make Dark Citadel an almost essential node for character development, this would actually be a valid argument.
According to the developers, a new consumable, Scroll of Re-Tempering, was added in Vessel of Hatred DLC, and the primary place to farm them is Dark Citadel Dungeon.
Of course, they will also say that you can get this item from other sources, but I believe that any player who has tried to farm Mythic Unique items will find this to be nonsense. The developers have always said that technically players can also get Mythic Uniques from any monster. But how does this actually work? Aside from Torment Bosses, you have almost no chance of seeing Unique drops.
Besides this, there is another new update that has received a lot of attention, which is Looking for Group feature. Many people call it some kind of savior of random groups, but I am not sure about this. I think it is very likely to become a tool in the future where the group leader only invites the best equipped players, and many times, these people have obtained their equipment through real money transactions. This may only gradually lead the game to the abyss of pay-to-win.
All in all, I think World of WarCraft is a better choice for most players if we want to experience raiding, rather than Diablo 4. Therefore, unless the development team can provide a major improvement compared to the current multiplayer and Co-Op modes, it seems to me that Dark Citadel is likely to fail like Gauntlet.

The new season mechanics that will be introduced in Diablo 4 Season 6 are expected to be released on October 8th with Vessel of Hatred expansion. Bash Barbarian build is not only versatile and easy to master, but also brings great satisfaction to players. Early in the game, players may experience a slowdown in leveling because of the weapon Tempering requirement, but the power of this build will become apparent as the game progresses.
Unlike current popular builds, Bash Barbarian build does not rely on Fury. Instead, it relies on Bash, a free skill that deals massive damage in both AoE and single-target situations. Movement speed and damage output are enhanced with Shouts, while skills like Charge and Wrath of the Berserker provide additional offensive power and survivability.
In Diablo 4, certain skills unlock additional benefits when assigned to specific weapons. Additionally, Legendary Aspects further enhance a character’s abilities after switching weapons. These game mechanics encourage Barbarians to use Skill Assignment pane to associate unique skills with their corresponding weapons. To do this, open the character window, go to Abilities tab, and select Skill Assignment.
For damage-dealing skills, such as Lunging Strike and Upheaval, binding them to specific weapons can maximize their effects. Similarly, the passive skill Walking Arsenal Key Passive is also affected by weapon replacement, and it will provide additional bonuses when using three different types of weapons: Two-Handed Bludgeoning, Two-Handed Slashing, and Dual-Wield. This combination of skills and weapons brings tactical depth and the possibility of personalized configuration for players.
Barbarian can be effectively upgraded through a series of skill rotations. These skills include Challenging Shout, Rallying Cry, War Cry, Charge, Bash, and Wrath of the Berserker. This strategy helps Barbarian achieve a balanced and efficient combat performance in the game, and of course, you can also use Diablo 4 Gold to quickly obtain the items or equipment you want to enhance your damage output.
Get the Battle Pass to use Smouldering Ashes to quickly increase EXP, which will help you quickly reach level 50 in a short period.
Barbarian builds usually prefer Two-Handed Axe Expertise as a weapon. This is because it provides better Vulnerable Damage and Critical Strike Chance compared to other weapon options, thereby enhancing combat efficiency and damage output.
For the best endgame experience, a Barbarian build can use the following rotation: Start with Rallying Cry for increased mobility and Fury Generation, then War Cry for increased damage and Berserking. Next, use Steel Grasp to get close to enemies, apply Vulnerable, and trigger Paingorger’s Gauntlets.
Continue to use Heavy Attack for high damage output and trigger Hammer of the Ancients’ debuff. Use Hammer of the Ancients for significant damage bonuses, and Challenging Shout for increased survivability and Fury regeneration. This rotation strategy can help players achieve maximum efficiency and survivability in the game.
After reaching level 50 and unlocking Paragon Board, Bash Barbarian build can be optimized and reconfigured. This build is similar in nature to the build during the upgrade process, but with some adjustments to point allocation.
Glyphs initially have a radius of 3, but when reaching level 15, their range of influence will increase to 4. To maximize the utility of the glyph, it is best to continue to challenge Nightmare Dungeons to accumulate Glyph experience and ensure that your Glyphs are rewarded with a good return.

The just released Diablo 4 Patch 2.0 revealed a lot of major changes to the game, such as a new level cap, a new Paragon system, and some new Rune Word mechanics. For Barbarian, the major addition is a Weapon Mastery Skill called Mighty Throw. This skill will cause you to throw a weapon and upon impact, it will deal 60% of your weapon damage to the enemy and will drive the weapon to the ground.
After driving into the ground, your weapon will pulse and deal 20% of your weapon damage to the enemy every second for 4 seconds. Like other skills, Mighty Throw has 3 variants, namely Enhanced Mighty Throw, Fighter’s Mighty Throw, and Warrior’s Mighty Throw.
They all work in the same way, but the effects they cause after you throw the weapon are different. Enhanced Mighty Throw can cause a 25% increase in attack speed, Fighter’s Mighty Throw will increase your maximum health by 3% when the pulse occurs to protect you, and Warrior’s Mighty Throw will provide you with some extra damage and cause a stun.
Druid adds the skill Stone Burst, which is also one of Druid’s most commonly used Earth Core Skills and costs 30 Spirit. When you use it, you will see a lot of stones gather under the enemy and cause an explosion. This explosion will cause 80% of the weapon damage to the enemy.
Like Mighty Throw, Stone Burst also has three variants: Enhanced Stone Burst, Primal Stone Burst and Raging Stone Burst. They enhance your damage range, attack speed and additional damage, respectively. In Season 5, Druid is not favored by players. You can expect whether Druid will be more practical after adding skills.
As the strongest Class in the previous season, Necromancer also got a new skill called Soulrift. Soulrift can corrode nearby enemies for 8 seconds and even cause 65% of weapon damage per second.
In addition, every 0.25 seconds Soulrift will help you tear and absorb the enemy’s Spirit, and then generate two Essences. The most important thing is that it will provide you with a protective shield with 2% of your maximum life for 5 seconds.

When you use Dance of Knives skill, your movement speed will increase by 20%, your dodge chance will increase by 10%, and you will also launch some knives at enemies near you. When the enemy is hit by these knives, it will cause 42% of the weapon damage.
The three variants of Dance of Knives, Enhanced Dance of Knives, Methodical Dance of Knives, and Disciplined Dance of Knives will enhance your additional weapon damage to varying degrees. You can also expect the performance of Rogue Class in the new season or new expansion, just like Druid.
As a Sorcerer whose fundamental skill is Conjuration Skill, the new skill Familiar is also of this type. You can use Familiar to summon a Familiar of the same element as your last skill, which will help you fight for 8 seconds. During this time, it will chase enemies and explode after the countdown ends. Its explosion will deal 40% of its elemental damage to the current area.
You can summon 6 Familiars at a time, but it should be noted that this skill has a 12-second charge cooldown. So be sure to time it well.
