Diablo 4 Season 15 Tankiest DPS Build: Blazing Scream Warlock Becomes Immortal with Temerity

Sep 07, 2026 Author: D4gold

With BlizzCon just five days away, we'll likely learn all the details about Diablo 4 Season 15 then. But for now, we can still build one of the most powerful and popular builds for the new season based on the already concluded PTR - Blazing Scream Warlock.

Currently, this Blazing Scream Warlock build boasts incredible damage output, excellent mobility, and a very short time to clear high-level The Pit stages. If you want to quickly gain an advantage in the new season, this build won't hold you back.

Core Mechanics

Blazing Scream Warlock's main damage skill continuously applies a burning effect (from Metamorphosis) to itself. Simultaneously, this skill launches numerous minor demons that bounce off. These demons count as enemy deaths upon being killed, triggering multiple kill-and-heal effects.

While Warlock's base healing rate is relatively low, by eliminating dozens of minor demons per second, you can still gain a significant amount of healing.

The unique pants: Temerity will convert your excess healing into a shield, perfectly offsetting the damage from self-ignition and providing a stable survival barrier.

Therefore, Blazing Scream Warlock relies on this output and recovery cycle to no longer fear damage and survivability in D4 Season 15.

Key Equipment

To unleash the full potential of Blazing Scream Warlock, we cannot skimp on equipment and aspects, as their synergy can elevate Warlock's damage to new heights.

Moloch's Beating Flame

This unique amulet is the absolute core of the entire build, providing independent damage increases for each skill slot while granting many base stats, including armor, resistances, and critical strike chance.

Most importantly, Moloch's Beating Flame converts Willpower into a massive damage bonus, making it a top choice for any late-game build, even if not used on Blazing Scream Warlock.

Elegy

The previously overlooked unique sword in Diablo 4: Elegy now adds Archfiend tag to Blazing Scream. Blazing Scream can now not only obtain Skull Splitter Variant for free, but also allow Lesser Demon skulls to deal damage at the level of the main skull.

In short, Elegy is the other half of the secret to Blazing Scream Warlock's explosive damage.

The Eightfold Idol

Equipping the unique ring The Eightfold Idol will leave a Hellfire trail on hit with your Blazing Scream.

Any enemy standing in the trail will take additional damage from Hellfire, and this bonus exceeds 100% at full rolls, almost doubling the total damage increase, not to mention its incredibly easy triggering method in Diablo 4.

Therefore, The Eightfold Idol is also an essential piece of equipment for Blazing Scream Warlock in the new season.

Ring of Starless Skies

In the later stages of D4 Season 15, your resources will likely be very scarce. At this point, Ring of Starless Skies will almost become essential for the Blazing Scream Warlock, and it will function smoothly in conjunction with Crown of Lucion unique helmet.

However, during the mid-game transition, we don't recommend using Crown of Lucion too early, as the lack of resource regeneration will severely affect Warlock's feel.

You can see that these equipment items are crucial to improving Blazing Scream Warlock's damage and base stats. If you can't collect them all, you can buy Diablo 4 items to experience the power of this build in Season 15.

Skill Rotation

The skill rotation and positioning techniques in actual combat are also key to maximizing the Blazing Scream Warlock's potential.

At the start of the battle, use Command Abodian to leap into the battlefield, quickly removing Crowd Control and gaining Unstoppable. You can also recast it to dismount earlier to handle unexpected situations.

Meanwhile, Rampage is your primary means of movement, especially when speed-farming with Anathema of the Primes, greatly improving movement efficiency.

Next, cast Metamorphosis and be careful not to repeatedly click this skill; simply reapply it when the buff expires to maintain its active state.

To further enhance the survivability of Blazing Scream Warlock, you need to activate Dark Prison appropriately - killing enemies within its area resets its cooldown, so remember to use it when actively killing enemies to avoid premature expiration.

Additionally, you can flexibly cast Molten Bomb depending on your resource situation, as it not only provides resource generation but also leaves turrets that further automate the entire damage output engine.

Finally, note that your core damage skill, Blazing Scream, needs to be cast continuously. This skill's projectiles bounce off walls and can hit the same enemy multiple times. Therefore, it's best to attack in narrow corridors and enclosed areas as much as possible, maximizing the damage output through repeated bounces.

When facing bosses or high-health elite monsters, always aim at walls or obstacles to make the projectiles bounce and hit the target. This is very effective in increasing its damage. At the same time, you should position yourself close to the enemy while ensuring safety, so that the Inferno Fragment's area-of-effect burning damage covers more targets.

Leveling and Mid-Game Strategy

Don't feel too much pressure until you obtain your core Uniques and have sufficient resource management skills in Diablo 4 Season 15, as Blazing Scream Warlock can still run smoothly in the leveling and mid-game stages.

You can use Apocalypse instead of the burning effect from Metamorphosis to avoid dying because of a lack of shields.

This build uses basic aspects and gear, focusing on stacking attack speed, critical strike damage, and fire damage. Once you have Temerity and at least one other core damage-boosting unique item, then switch to the full gear setup described above.

Until Diablo 4 Season 15 officially launches, the gear and mechanics in this guide are based on the final PTR version, so it's recommended that you stay informed in case there are minor adjustments after the season update.

However, there's no need to worry too much, as those playstyles that are likely to be nerfed are not used in this Blazing Scream Warlock build. Stay tuned!
