  Therefore, at BlizzCon 2026, the focus of Diablo 4 will likely be on what happens after Lord of Hatred: how the subsequent seasons will be structured, what new systems will be added, and where the story will progress.

  Roadmap of Lord 

  Lord of Hatred doesn't just add a campaign; it also makes significant adjustments to long-term gameplay. War Plans, Echoing Hatred, Loot Filter, the new Skill Tree, and changes to the gear and damage system all indicate that the developers are reorganizing the long-term cycle of Diablo 4.

  Therefore, what we're more likely to see at BlizzCon is the planning for the next few seasons and the direction these new systems will take in future adjustments.

  The developers only need to play a short, 10-second CG teaser at the end of Diablo 4 segment. The screen suddenly goes black, a familiar symbol appears, or players are shown a familiar location. Then a line of dialogue is played, followed by a brief appearance of a character's shadow, and then the scene ends.

  If this shadow belongs to Baal, the effect might be sufficient. Players will immediately begin analyzing CG frame by frame, and the community will start discussing what Baal, Diablo, and the next expansion will be.
