Every class nerfed? This new Diablo 4 Season 14 PTR 3.1 Minion Warlock Build breaks 300 billion DPS

Jun 05, 2026 Author: D4gold

In Diablo 4 Season 14 PTR 3.1, almost all classes were nerfed, but there was one pure Minion Warlock with only passable gear that managed to deal 300 billion damage. Even more absurdly, this build was virtually invincible, even surviving all the boss's abilities. The core secret of this powerful Minion Warlock build lies in two pieces of equipment and a demon death loop mechanism.

This Minion Warlock is different from Bombardment Warlock that everyone thinks of, which relies on a large number of demons for support. It will be the first summoner build that truly makes minions the absolute core.

Core Equipment

This build features two key equipment changes that completely alter the damage ceiling of summoner builds.

Ae'grom Schism Unique Chest Armor

This armor not only allows you to summon two Ae'groms at once, doubling their ability activation, but also doubles the rate at which small demons spawn. More importantly, it provides a massive independent damage multiplier.

If you can obtain Mythic Unique-grade Ae'grom Schism, the damage multiplier will reach a staggering 2.95x, almost tripling your total damage. Alternatively, you can directly buy Diablo 4 items from D4GOLD.com to achieve this powerful Warlock build even faster.

Every class nerfed? This new Diablo 4 Season 14 PTR 3.1 Minion Warlock Build breaks 300 billion DPS

Eye of Baal

The enhanced Eye of Baal increases your Soul Shards skill damage by over 100% and grants an additional 50% independent damage multiplier after using Soul Shards skills.

Combined, this single piece of equipment provides over three times the damage amplification.

With these two pieces of equipment, your primary source of damage will be Command Ae'grom.

By stacking a large amount of Attack Speed, each Ae'grom can swing nearly twice per second. Two Ae'groms, along with the smaller demons they constantly summon (up to ten, with attack speed twice that of Ae'grom), effectively provide the equivalent of an extra Ae'grom in overall damage output.

Even if you detonate all the smaller demons, they will all respawn within three seconds, making your downtime for dealing damage extremely short.

Survival and Damage Boost Engine

The core of this build's status as the toughest Warlock lies in Punching Bag under Tortured Wretch. Each Tortured Wretch absorbs damage equivalent to 30% of your Maximum Life, prioritizing damage taken from them before you take damage.

Furthermore, their explosion upon death deals nearly 3000% weapon damage and provides Fortify.

By rapidly generating a large number of free Tortured Wretches, you can have several on the field simultaneously, making you virtually immune to all attacks, even boss-level fatal abilities.

While Horazon's Chains Set was nerfed in this PTR, it still provides an impressive global damage boost. For each Greater Demon present, you gain a 15% damage increase.

You'll have two Ae'groms on the field, plus other large demons summoned by your abilities, and Sigil of Summons, allowing you to easily stack over 75% independent damage amplification.

Furthermore, this effect provides Attack Speed, Movement Speed, additional Dominance Generation, and 8.5% damage reduction per Soul Shards demon, ultimately giving you a triple total damage amplification.

Resource Loop

The brilliance of this Minion Warlock build lies in utilizing demon deaths to cast Greater Demon skill for free.

Your Soul Shards passive effect dictates that you can cast Greater Demon skill for free once for every 200 demon deaths.

To achieve high-frequency demon deaths, you can use Hellfire version of Bombardment, which continuously and automatically kills demons around you. Alternatively, using Command Fallen with Lunatic will detonate a large demon and split it into four smaller demons, instantly creating a large number of deaths.

Additionally, each activation of Command Ae'grom kills all your current smaller demons, and since your Ae'grom cooldown is only about 5 seconds, this equates to killing an extra 10 demons every 5 seconds.

These three factors combined result in a large number of demons dying almost every second, constantly triggering opportunities to cast Greater Demon for free.

In practice, you only need to consume one Dominance globe plus one free cast to summon at least 6 Tortured Wretches at once. Tortured Wretches themselves can absorb damage, deal explosive damage, and generate Fortify again, forming a perfect survival-damage loop.

Existing Problems

Although this Minion Warlock build is extremely powerful, it still has shortcomings in terms of handling and other aspects.

Cumbersome Operation

Firstly, you need to constantly monitor the cooldowns and buff stacks of multiple Minion Warlock skills.

You need to constantly press Command Ae'grom, maintain the 5-stack Bombardment buff, intersperse Command Fallen to generate free casts, and immediately use Tortured Wretch whenever Dominance or a free proc occurs, etc.

While Warlock is inherently a pianist class in Diablo 4, this playstyle is particularly pronounced, requiring frequent skill clicks to achieve optimal efficiency.

Unable to Target Designation

All the demons you summon attack random enemies, which is frustrating when clearing high-level pits.

You want to focus your attacks on elites or bosses, but your minions are scattered attacking mobs.

Risk of Defensive Layer Breakage

While normally incredibly tanky, if you are repeatedly hit into the Injured state, your Metamorphosis will immediately end and enter a 12-second cooldown, despite providing a significant survivability and damage bonus.

Therefore, once your health drops, you will suddenly become very vulnerable and must temporarily play defensively until Metamorphosis reactivates.

In short, in Diablo 4 Season 14, this Minion Warlock build should be the most anticipated build that combines ease of use with hardcore gameplay. Despite its flaws, it will stand out in Season 14 PTR 3.1.
