How To Prepare For Diablo 4 Season 10 Both In And Out-Of-Game? - 6 Key Tips

Sep 04, 2025 Author: D4gold

With the official release of Diablo 4 Season 10 approaching, loyal players may be busy wrapping up Season 9 and learning more about Season 10 so they can get ready for the new season.

But if you're a worker or student with limited gaming time, you might be wondering how to prepare for Season 10 more efficiently while saving time. To that end, we'll provide you with six key tips for both in-game and out-of-game activities.

How To Prepare For Diablo 4 Season 10 Both In And Out-Of-Game? - 6 Key Tips

1. Schedule Your Gaming Time Based On Your Habits

To ensure you can plan your leveling and Diablo 4 gold farming efforts after the new season begins, you need to optimize your gaming time and ensure adequate rest periods while balancing work and study schedules.

While there may be a lot of mixed reviews before the new season officially begins, which may lead you to reduce or increase your time and effort in Season 10, honestly, everything should be based on your own habits.

Therefore, it's generally recommended that you plan your Diablo 4 play future schedule based on your previous Diablo 4 play habits, and then decide whether to further adjust your schedule based on your experience with the new season.

2. Join A Team In Advance

While Diablo 4 fully supports solo play, most dungeons and boss battles are better suited to teamwork. More powerful teammates mean you can overcome more challenging quests and obtain better loot even at a lower character level.

If you're planning this, we recommend not waiting until the new season begins to find teammates. Instead, you can form a team in advance by targeting active players in Discord groups or game forums.

This way, you can get to know each other well in advance and hone your skills through various gameplay strategies in Season 9, ensuring more coordinated teamwork as you advance through Season 10.

More importantly, if you join a larger Diablo 4 community, you might be able to participate in additional benefits and, with a leader, more easily earn unique items in Season 10 new events that you would otherwise have to grind for.

3. Make Full Use Of Renown System

As you know, when a new season begins, your character and any associated items from the previous season are transferred to Eternal Realm, requiring you to create a new character to experience the new season from the beginning.

However, to help you avoid starting a new season with nothing, Diablo 4 has implemented Renown system. This is a permanent, account-wide system that allows you to grant permanent rewards to your new character by completing specific tasks.

These rewards are typically gold, skill points, potions, or paragon points. While they are not very rare, they are a valuable tool for quickly boosting a character's performance in the early stages of a season.

You can earn Renown points by completing the following tasks at the end of Season 9 to unlock these rewards, allowing your Season 10 character to immediately benefit from them.

  • Activating Waypoints: There are many fast travel points throughout the map; unlocking them earns Renown points.
  • Conquering Strongholds: Strongholds in the game offer large-scale challenges that you can complete.
  • Complete as many side quests as possible: You'll have more time to clear them at the end of each season, earning renown and unlocking the stories behind them.
  • Discovering New Zones: Reveal unexplored areas of the map for rewards.
  • Clearing Side Dungeons: Earn renown points the first time you complete one.
  • Searching for Altars of Lilith: Discovering these locations not only earns reputation but also automatically unlocks associated Waypoints and zone exploration points.

4. Get To Know The New Mechanics Of Season 10

If you're interested in the game, you've already gotten a basic understanding of Season 10's new mechanics and other updates by playing 2.4.0 PTR or other means. We'll still provide a brief overview here.

First and foremost, the core seasonal mechanic of this season is Chaos Perks. These powers come in varying rarity levels, with some available only to different classes. You can obtain these powers by farming Chaos Rifts and upgrading them using a special currency.

Chaos Rifts are new seasonal events that randomly appear in Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons. Each event features different affixes to increase the challenge, but also offers various rewards.

Season 10 also allows you to obtain and utilize Chaos Armor. These are essentially more powerful versions of Unique Armor, enhancing your character by increasing the armor's strength.

Furthermore, the classic endgame event, Infernal Hordes, is receiving an update. It will provide a more engaging way to farm materials and introduce a new boss, Bartuc, the Vizjerei Warlord.

5. Pre-Select The Right Class And Build

After understanding the key mechanics of Season 10, you can combine PTR guides and your own playing habits to decide in advance what class to play in the new season.

You can also use this as a foundation, combining skills, seasonal powers, and other factors to create a build tailored to Season 10 and your chosen class. This way, you can more effectively farm gear to enhance your character once the new season begins.

6. Don't Forget Your Eternal Character

Once Season 10 begins, your Season 9 character will transfer to Eternal Realm. You can choose to play the new season or continue enjoying the old season in that realm.

While you'll likely be immersed in the new season, you might also find yourself wanting to play Eternal Realm. So, it's perfectly acceptable to still stock up on resources for your Season 9 character - it always won't hurt.

These are six different types of tips we've compiled to help you prepare for Season 10. We hope you find them helpful. September has just begun, so there's still time to get started!
