This crossover event has officially started on May 6 and will last until June 3. The crossover content is divided into two parts, one is the free rewards related to the new Reliquary battle pass system, and the other is the various sets sold in the in-game store.
The free rewards require you to kill elite enemies to earn special tokens called Behelits, which unlock four rewards: a Brand of Sacrifice death marker and tattoo, as well as a cosmetic backpiece and mount trophy. Unlocking all four rewards also nets you a free Berserk-themed nameplate. The in-game store offers four different armor sets and a pet pack, each for 2,800 platinum, and a mount pack for 2,500 platinum.
Given Berserk’s popularity, this crossover event should have done well, but finally it’s hard not to feel like it was just a pure cosmetic selling. The lack of new playable content or quests is a constant push to get cosmetic items.
Although some rewards are free, the process of earning Behelits to get them is honestly very boring, because it only corresponds to one battle after another that lacks depth and strategy, and even if you finally get the reward, you won’t feel any sense of accomplishment. As for the store gift packs, they are even more insincere - you can get less platinum for free.
Even more embarrassing is that Diablo Immortal, which launched Berserk crossover at the same time, not only launched the theme rewards, but also brought a new Nosferatu Zodd boss battle, and allowed you to gain new power to fight through Behelit-themed Legendary gems, which is much more playable than Diablo 4.
To be honest, the two don’t seem to have much to do with each other at first glance, but candles will be launched during Berserk crossover event, and perhaps you can expect subsequent candle products to have some Berserk features.
In addition, the source of criticism for Diablo 4 Berserk crossover event is that it only wants to induce you to consume, but if the market performance of candle products is good, Diablo 4 may also change its strategy before the end of the event, allowing you to more easily obtain Berserk crossover event rewards.
Although Diablo 4 is considered having performed boring since the beginning of 2025, no matter which cooperation it is, they have just begun, and you should have expectations for them. Even if it really performs poorly, it is not too late to criticize it at that time!
