Ahead of the release of Diablo 4’s version 2.1 PTR, players could get a glimpse of upcoming new features and changes via a Campfire Chat event on November 21. The team introduced Armory, a new feature designed to simplify saving and swapping equipment, and made a number of adjustments to classes.
In the latest Campfire Chat, we learned that Season 7 is coming with one quality-of-life change and several new Uniques. This information was released before the December 3 Public Test Realm (PTR) opened, and players will have more to look forward to as Season 7 approaches.
Quality Of Life Updates
- Paragon migration
- Unique power roll Updates
- Ancestral items
- Drop the top end of aspect rolls
- Baseline drop rate increased
- Gem fragment conversion
- Class quest updates
- Rewards unlock at the gated level
- Class quest can still be completed
Diablo 4 Season 7 will usher in a major quality of life change affecting the in-game Paragon Board. Paragon Board allows players to customize their builds after reaching the game’s level cap. Starting in season 7, all Paragon experience earned in a season will be added to the player’s Eternal Realm progress.
In addition, the development team also plans to increase the drop rate of Ancestral Legendary items of all levels in the new Torment difficulty system in the future. This not only means that players will encounter such powerful equipment more frequently during exploration, but also ensures that their status as top rewards will not be reduced.
In addition, starting in Season 7, all Ancestral Legendary items will be ranked at the top of their Legendary Aspect’s rank. Besides the above improvements made to specific types of equipment, the game will also make some other quality of life improvements, including a redesigned unique power roll system, a gem fragment converter that can create legendary items, and updates to career quests.
New Uniques
- Barbarian: Mantle of the Mountain’s Fury
- Druid: Malefic Crescent
- Necromancer: Indira’s Memory and Kessmie’s Legacy
- Rogue: Assassin’s Stride
- Sorcerer: Strike of Stormhorn and Okun’s Catalyst
- Spiritborn: Sustained War-Crozier
More than a year after its release, Diablo 4 remains as popular and engaging as ever. The development team continues to inject new life into the game in innovative and interesting ways. Diablo 4 continues Diablo games’ consistent seasonal update strategy, continuously evolving resources, weapons, and equipment, and regularly adding new Diablo 4 items to ensure that players always have a fresh experience.
Currently, players are in the middle of Diablo 4 Season 6, and the upcoming Season 7 promises to introduce a host of new Uniques. Every class will receive at least one new unique item, and some classes will be lucky enough to get two. These new items range from armor, amulets to staffs and catalysts. Therefore, it is recommended that you prepare enough Diablo 4 Gold before the new Uniques arrive.
Take Barbarian in Diablo 4 as an example. This melee character will get a new ancestral unique chest armor called Mantle of the Mountain’s Fury. This equipment not only provides strong protection but also has a special skill that when an earthquake occurs, it can cause 50% Hammer of the Ancients damage in five seconds.
In addition, Druid will also get a very practical unique ancestral amulet. This equipment can increase the wearer’s resistance to all elements by 25%. Whether facing fire, cold or lightning attacks, it can significantly improve the player’s overall defense performance.
Necromancer class has received two new Uniques. The first is Indira’s Memory, a unique pant that works closely with Blood Wave. It not only improves the survivability of Necromancer, but also enhances its spell effects. Another new skill is Kessime’s Legacy, which is also a unique item that further enhances the power of Blood Wave, making Necromancer even more difficult to deal with on the battlefield.
Rogue also gets a new unique - Assassin’s Stride. This is a special pair of boots that, when activated, can provide an amazing +100% movement speed bonus for two seconds.
For Sorcerer, Diablo 4 also prepares two new Uniques in Strike of Stormhorn and Okun’s Catalyst. Both skills focus on strengthening Sorcerer’s signature skill - Ball of Lightning, making it more destructive in combat.
Finally, Spiritborn can use a unique quarterstaff called Sustained War-Crozier, which can provide up to +40% block chance, greatly enhancing the character’s survivability.
The next public test realm of Diablo 4 will be available to PC players as a standalone client, allowing them to experience the upcoming features and changes. This PTR will start on December 3rd and last until December 10th. In addition, the development team released the 2.0.5 update for Diablo 4 on November 19th, which is a major update with a lot of adjustments and bug fixes.
Currently, Diablo 4 Season 6 is expected to end on January 21, 2025. However, the specific start date of Season 7 has not yet been announced, and players can expect the launch of more new content and further updates about Season 7.
