With Diablo 4 Season 5 just around the corner, there’s a lot of debate among players about which class will be the most powerful this season. While many predict that Barbarian class builds will probably take that spot, things may not be quite as expected in Season of Infernal Hordes. While we can be sure that Barbarians will be strong, there’s another class that will almost certainly outshine all the others.
Because of the addition of new unique skills, changes in PTR/patch notes, and overall trends, it’s almost a given that Rogue will be the most powerful class in Diablo 4 Season 5. While we won’t be 100% sure who the most powerful class will be until Diablo 4 Season 5 is released, we already have some clues. Now, let’s take a thorough analysis into what we predict will be the most powerful class in Diablo 4 Season 5.
Penetrating Shot Rogue
Penetrating Shot Rogue is undoubtedly the top build in Diablo 4 Season 5 PTR. While some other builds come close, like Rapid Fire, it feels like Rogues win. With Crowd Control options readily available, and gear that prioritizes extra damage to Crowd-Controlled enemies, they can easily defeat even the toughest foes.
This is also thanks to Ring of Starless Skies, which recently received a buff ahead of Diablo 4 Season 5. With the current Season content, players can easily get a Mythic Unique of their choice, so Ring of Starless Skies shouldn’t require hard grinding.
Penetrating Shot Rogues deal more damage than any other class when they’re actually online, and as players accumulate Diablo 4 Gold in the game, they’ll be able to better equip and strengthen their characters, further improving the combat effectiveness of Rogue class.
Key Passives
Another reason Rogue ranks high in Diablo 4 Season 5 is its Key Passives. It’s one of the few classes that doesn’t feel like a strong Key Passive. While Victimize has been changed, this does not make the class feel weak or useless, and Rogue Key Passives don’t seem to have a damage cap.
With Precision, the more Critical Strike damage you have, the higher its damage bonus. Victimize is similar, with Vulnerable damage. Overall, it seems like it’s the golden age of Rogues right now. After a few seasons of mediocrity, they’re finally getting a chance to shine.
When choosing the class, we also took into account how powerful Poison is in PTR, which means Poison Rogues can play a big role in the game. Also, as always, we’ll have to see how things play out on retail servers, but there’s no doubt that with the new season coming up, players have reason to be excited about playing Rogues this season.
It’s worth mentioning that the raw damage Rogues deal in the upcoming season may differ from on PTR. There’s always time for the developers to change things. But Passives and items seem to benefit Rogues the most at this point.
Based on the performance of PTR and the recent game updates, Rogues undoubtedly have the strength to surpass other classes. Players can look forward to using their powerful abilities to achieve excellent results in the game. However, the final result will not be revealed until the season actually starts, so let us wait and see!
