Diablo 4 Season 5 is coming with a slew of major updates, most notably the evolution of Uber Uniques to Mythic Uniques. It continues to capitalize on the success of Season 4. Season 5 patch notes contain over 10,000 words describing major changes to the core Diablo 4 experience.
The game will see adjustments to World Boss difficulty, returning bosses from Diablo 2, and a new Infernal Hordes mode, the centerpiece of Season 5. However, perhaps the most exciting of all is the massive changes to Uniques. This guide will take a detailed look at all the changes coming to the game’s most valuable pieces of gear.
Mythic Uniques
While these pieces of gear will receive updated stats and new designations, their well-known names will remain. Diablo 4 will introduce eight brand new Mythic Uniques, based on Uber Uniques that players have come to know and love. Therefore, players may find that Diablo 4 Gold becomes more important in Diablo 4 Season 5, as the new Mythic Uniques and Infernal Hordes modes will bring greater challenges and richer rewards to players.
1. Ring Of Starless Skies
While Ring of Starless Skies retains its unique appearance in Season 5 update, its Affixes have been adjusted to better suit the needs of players after Season 4 Diablo 4. The ring now provides higher Attack Speed, Core Skill levels, and Lucky Hit chance. The most significant change is that its base Critical Strike damage has been increased to twice its previous value.
2. Doombringer
Doombringer has undergone significant changes, with its Core Skill and Critical Strike damage removed and replaced with a 100% increase in overall damage. In addition, Maximum Life bonus and the heal on Lucky Hit of this equipment have also been significantly improved.
3. Ahavarion, Spear Of Lycander
Elemental Druids will become even more popular with Ahavarion Spear of Lycander update. This weapon’s Critical Strike, Vulnerable, and Overpower damage are all increased by 159.5%. In addition, it also adds increased Movement Speed, Resource Generation, and stats across the board.
4. Grandfather
Grandfather’s new Mythic Unique variant introduces additional Maximum Life and Stat increases. While maintaining its original damage buffs, this new version also adds a 300% overall damage increase. This is undoubtedly an attractive choice of classes that can equip Two-Handed Sword.
5. Melted Heart Of Selig
Melted Heart of Selig will retain its existing elemental resistance, Movement Speed, and Resource Generation Affixes in the update, and further enhance them. New toys include increased cap for elemental resistance, and a change from increasing damage to health to increasing resistance under health.
6. Tyrael’s Might
Tyrael’s Might’s Mythic Unique variant is similar to Grandfather, but no longer takes Durability loss into account. While it loses stat buffs, new defensive bonuses are introduced to enhance and expand its existing defensive capabilities.
7. Andariel’s Visage
Andariel’s Visage has been fully buffed in the update, including Life regain, Attack Speed, and Stat boosts. The most notable change is the introduction of a Poison Resistance cap, which significantly increases Poison Resistance from 60% to 666%, a change unique to Diablo 4.
8. Harlequin Crest
New Mythic Unique version adds more Maximum Life and Maximum Resource, and the base Cooldown Reduction is more than doubled. The quest for this piece of gear will become extremely time-consuming and labor-intensive.
These are adjustments to Diablo 4’s new Mythic Uniques, which are scheduled to be officially released when Season 5 launches on August 6, 2024. If these new items don’t interest you, the development team will also introduce 50 new Legendary Aspects for players to explore and build their characters.
