This time, we’re going to dig into the dungeon system. Since Codex of Power is a key part of Diablo 4’s content, it’s also the loot and legendary powers that advance the campaign story and side quest adventures to completion.

Dungeon System

There are more than 100 dungeons in the game. The icons on each door in the first area of this Fractured Peaks map represent a dungeon. There are 23 dungeons in this area alone. When you enter the dungeon, your work is done. You need to guarantee that you will be able to complete these dungeon quests for any interruptions.

Once you’ve never loaded a portal from start to finish, you might think twice before encountering a boss. Then you need to grab that Dorito, or you’ll be sure you did.

Since the complete experience is seamless, the game also uses transition scenes to connect multiple scenes together, making the player feel like the world they are in is a randomly generated scene in the dungeon. This means that multiple runs of a particular dungeon will look a little different, but will maintain the same atmosphere and familiar layout.

You’ll find that Fractured Peaks also look different from dungeons in other regions, and they take on the visual atmosphere of the monsters you’re facing. Keep in mind that we cannot find some dungeons until you have resolved the stronghold in the area.

Shrines are like many power-ups. You get them when you touch them, and can be found in the open world and in dungeons. The complete process lasts 30 seconds, and it increases your movement speed.

Shrines

Artillery Shrine is one of my personal favorite mechanics. It greatly increases the player’s attack speed, while summoning Holy Arrows that shoot forward and pierce enemies. Blast Wave Shrine periodically summons a massive explosion around you, effectively turning you into a Supernova, dealing massive damage, directing Shrine to reduce all resource costs to zero by reducing your cooldown.

If you want to keep repeating the attack, Conduit Shrine will turn into a lightning storm, destroying everything nearby. It also enables you to teleport short distances while targeting enemies, and they’ll never see you coming.

When you hit an enemy, Ryan causes the enemy to drop Diablo 4 Gold, which also increases your pickup radius and all direct attacks crits and deals more damage.

Protection Shrines make you invulnerable and unstoppable. But before you start claiming all Shrines, you can see here some things you should know, and sometimes even get cursed when you touch Shrines. In this new event, you will not get the effect but instead will be ambushed by monsters.

But don’t worry, once you resist and clear the event, you’ll be rewarded not only with Shrines themselves but also with a radiant treasure chest containing a number of rare items as you venture through the dungeon.

Codex Of Power

You’ll face many challenges, and each dungeon has two or three necessary quests for you to complete before completing the dungeon. These tasks range from killing all enemies to free prisoners or destroying all structures. Notice I didn’t mention the boss here. This is because not all dungeons will require you to kill the boss at the end.

Each dungeon quest may take 5-10 minutes to complete. You can reset them if you want to do this again later in the game. It can upgrade these dungeons into Nightmare Dungeons, which add extra challenges and rewards.
