Diablo 4 Season 13 & Lord of Hatred fast ways to max your Paragon Board | Torment 10 is the best difficulty level!

May 05, 2026 Author: D4gold

As you are aware, Diablo 4 Season 13 introduced significant, permanent changes to several of the game's core mechanics. While these changes did not directly target Paragon system, the skill tree rework, and the increased level cap have clearly had a ripple effect on it.

This is because you must first reach your character's maximum level and simultaneously finalize your Skill Tree build, before you can begin unlocking and upgrading your Paragon Glyphs and Legendary Nodes.

In this guide, we will show you how to leverage these new changes in Season 13 and Lord of Hatred expansion to rapidly boost your Paragon Level, unlocking more nodes to fully empower your character.

Diablo 4 Season 13 & Lord of Hatred fast ways to max your Paragon Board | Torment 10 is the best difficulty level!

Why prioritize Paragon System?

This system, often referred to as Paragon Board, consists of two primary components: nodes and glyphs. Once you have fine-tuned your build to ensure your glyphs and nodes work in effective synergy, your character's power level will ascend to an entirely new tier.

For instance, activating all magic and rare nodes can significantly boost your damage output and survivability; alternatively, you might choose to prioritize specific attribute nodes that are critical to your build.

For example, if critical hit damage is the primary source of your character's output, every additional point invested in willpower can substantially increase your potential critical hit damage.

Consequently, with every level gained within Paragon system, whether the focus is on survivability or DPS, your character continues to grow stronger, even after you have already activated your most essential core nodes.

How to unlock Paragon Nodes?

Although Diablo 4 currently imposes a cap on standard character levels, you can continue to earn XP beyond that point to invest in Paragon system; for every Paragon Level you gain, you receive one point to use for unlocking nodes.

Leveling up is the most common and primary source of these points; additionally, you can acquire a portion of your points by increasing your Renown or advancing your Seasonal Rank.

Generally speaking, these alternative methods will naturally yield points as you progress through the seasonal content or the expansion storyline. Therefore, the primary focus of this guide is to outline the most efficient strategies for maximizing your XP gain.

Playing at higher difficulties

Simply put, the source of all XP is combat, and the more dangerous your enemies are, the more XP they will yield. Thus, the first key strategy is to engage in combat at the highest difficulty level you can reasonably handle.

Previously, the maximum difficulty level in Diablo 4 was Torment 4; however, this cap has now been raised to Torment 12. On Torment 12 difficulty, the XP gained from killing monsters receives an additional 1400% bonus.

Theoretically, the higher the difficulty level, the better, you shouldn't blindly rush straight into Torment 12.

This is because, in reality, once you reach Torment 10, the qualitative improvements in the game's reward mechanisms largely cease; what remains are merely marginal increases in XP acquisition rates.

Therefore, if you find yourself struggling significantly on Torment 12 difficulty, yet can effortlessly steamroll through Torment 10, opting for the latter might actually be the superior strategy.

While doing so yields slightly less XP per individual run, your overall farming efficiency and rate of progression will be significantly higher.

Choosing the right farming sources

Diablo 4 offers numerous sources of XP; however, if your primary goal at this stage is to boost your Paragon level, you should prioritize progressing through the various stages of War Plans.

As a newly introduced endgame mechanic, completing each step within War Plans grants you a minimum of 100,000 XP upon completion. Furthermore, submitting a fully completed War Plan yields additional bonus rewards.

War Plans system encompasses a variety of specific endgame activities. Completing these activities earns you activity XP, which accumulates to grant activity skill points used to unlock upgrades within the corresponding activity skill tree.

Lair Bosses

While War Plans feature a wide array of endgame activities, farming Lair Bosses tends to be the least efficient option among them. Although these bosses serve as a crucial source for acquiring Mythic items, they contribute very little toward advancing your Paragon system progression.

However, if a specific Lair Boss happens to be designated as a target for either Whispers or War Plans, or even both simultaneously, the resulting rewards can be truly exceptional.

Better yet, if your sole objective is Paragon XP, you simply need to summon and defeat the boss to simultaneously trigger progress toward your War Plans objectives and complete your Grim Favors bounty.

Pit of Artificers

In the standard gameplay loop prior to the launch of War Plans, you would typically consume more time repeatedly farming The Pit to acquire XP and level up your Glyphs. This strategy remains just as valid and worthwhile today.

On its own merits, The Pit performs exceptionally well as a source of XP. Moreover, provided your character is sufficiently powerful, challenging higher-tier levels within The Pit on Torment 10 difficulty requires relatively little time investment.

Of course, the higher the tier you challenge, the greater the rewards you'll reap from The Pit, provided, of course, that you aren't concerned about slowing down your farming pace.

Nightmare Dungeons

In this mode, the specific objectives generated within a dungeon vary depending on the sigils you use; consequently, the ultimate value of your rewards can be quite variable and subject to fluctuation.

In terms of XP acquisition, completing a dungeon yields approximately 10 million XP, alongside a diverse array of additional rewards, such as Masterworking materials, gold, and more.

If your run happens to coincide with active Whispers bounties or War Plans objectives, XP you earn will increase even further.

Helltides

Ranked as one event with the highest potential for Paragon XP gains, Helltides are also characterized by highly volatile rewards. However, if you are fortunate enough to trigger special scenarios, such as farming Blood Maiden event, your XP earnings will be significantly higher.

That concludes our guide on how to acquire Paragon XP and power up your character during Season 13 and Lord of Hatred expansion. We hope this helps you build a formidable character in no time!
